Ben Berquam, a reporter for Real America's Voice, told Just the News about the different sizes between the Trump-built border wall and Biden's additions to the border and their different functions.
Mr. Berquam pointed out a section of the border wall that he said: "was President Trump's wall". He noted that "You can't see the top of it here and this was actually one of the shorter walls President Trump built" and that some sections of the wall under Trump were 30 feet high. Mr. Berquam then pointed out a section of the wall that went up under Biden and said: "This is what Joe Biden and the Democrats decided was good enough for American safety. I'm six feet tall. I'm taller than that wall if you want to even call it a wall."
The fact that Biden's additions were much shorter than Trump's is no mistake, according to Mr. Berquam, as it speaks to different purposes for the wall. Berquam claimed that Biden's wall was meant to protect those crossing the border rather than prevention. He said, "The only reason they even put it up in place was because they were worried about illegal aliens falling off the levee...It's about an 8-foot drop off this road right here. So it wasn't about border security. It was about protecting illegal aliens that had already broken into America that may have been walking on the levee road that might have fallen off."
Mr. Berquam also has video on Twitter of him claiming that the Biden adminstration was taking those who crossed the border illegally to ports of entry to treat them as if they entered the country legally. That video was captioned on Twitter with the words, "It’s all a lie! Listen to what I just found out from a CBP buddy of mine! I had to say it twice because it’s so infuriating!"
He further emphasized this when he wrote on Twitter, "It’s all a lie! They’re not stopping illegal immigration. They’re just changing the definition!"It’s all a lie!
