The film, as previously reported by the DC Enquirer, has already sold out in a number of theaters so be sure to get tickets before time runs out.

The interview, after a number of pleasantries, began with Lara asking Dinesh about the film which she believes is on the "cutting edge of telling us what we don't know but what we should know."

"The United States is remarkably and rapidly, in the last few years, have been moving towards becoming a police state. And we see this by simply asking what a police state is," he said, adding that the various police states like the USSR, North Korea, China, and others are defined by "mass surveillance of the citizens, systematic censorship, indoctrination in the schools, the attempt to make a one-party state in which you eliminate all effective opposition. You try to jail the leader of the opposition party. You criminalize dissent. You have political prisoners. And I say, 'Wow, we have all of that now in the United States.'"

D'Souza does go on to say that there is still time to roll back the emerging police state but that the country is running out of time to take action.

The filmmaker went on to explain that the left has propagandized the American people, particularly those on the left, to believe that Trump is an authoritarian attempting to take away the rights of Americans when the exact opposite is true.

The conversation then turned to 2024 and the likelihood of patriotic Americans being able to take back the government and reverse the growing trend. "The elecction of course is critical but I think the reason this goes so much beyond that is because our police state is not just confined to the government," the filmmaker explained. "It is an octopus that stretches across the government, many agencies of the government, and also the private sector."

He went on to explain that academia, private business, the bureaucracy, the media, and Big Tech all work hand in hand to censor Americans via middlemen to take away the rights enshrined in the Constitution.

Dinesh, who partnered with Dan Bongino for the film, told Lara Trump that he highlighted both whistleblowers and everyday Americans in his film who have experienced the police state that has created an environment where "no one is safe."

As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, D'Souza is looking to expose the burgeoning tyrannical government in his upcoming blockbuster documentary 'Police State.'

As outlined on policestatefilm.net, the film is set to release to theaters across America for showings on October 23 and October 25. There will also be a virtual screening later in the month on October 27.

The film, produced by D’Souza Media LLC, focuses on the weaponization of the judicial system against conservative and Christian Americans.

"'Police State' is a movie that I never wanted to make, because I never wanted America to get to a point where a movie like this needed to be made," D'Souza says about his film on its website. "I feel like the animal that alerts the herd to approaching danger, so we can take precautionary steps before it’s too late."

The documentary was made in collaboration with conservative commentator and former Secret Service Agent Dan Bongino and features actor Nick Searcy.

"The police state isn’t coming, it’s already here," Bongino said. "The signs are everywhere. And once you recognize them, your senses will be heightened to the danger we’re all in.”

"The relentless persecution of political opponents by the party in power is a hallmark of totalitarian countries," Searcy added about the current state of political persecution in America. "In a police state, the only real crime is daring to question the State. America is now a police state.”

The documentary includes interviews with prominent conservative leaders including Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), former Chief of Staff to the Secretary of Defense Kash Patel, Dan Bongino, and others.
