NY Governor Has Her Own “Deplorables” Moment in Shameful Rant About Abortion

Pro-Choicers have been enraged ever since POLITICO leaked a SCOTUS Draft Opinion that effectively overturns Roe V. Wade. That’s no surprise. The Left is not known for backing up their Supreme Court decisions with constitutional evidence.  They argue on the basis of emotion, for the evidence is clear — the so-called “right to privacy”. Pro-Choicers relying on Roe is not justifiable on the basis of any of the amendments. And in keeping with that general rage, New York Governor Kathy Hochul said the unthinkable yesterday with an absolutely barbaric insult, one which will have people talking for some time.

For background, the overturn of Roe simply makes abortion a state’s rights issue. The Democrats do not like that implication, because it thwarts the authoritarian will of the Party. They have to push for top-down control wherever possible. Ironically enough, it is they who do not trust Americans to make their own choices.

All in all, that’s all an overturn of Roe would do — push the issue back to the states and the democratic will of the people in those states. New York could offer their own restrictions or lack thereof in accordance with their wishes and the desires of their people.

Now, the people can vote wrongly — electing leaders who enfranchise the evil of abortion. But that’s more sensible than unilaterally imposing a pseudo-right on the basis of a poorly made SCOTUS decision.

New York Governor Hochul does not appreciate the nuances of the draft decision. As a Democrat, she lacks an appreciation for the logical. And that lack of logic showed itself when she called people who are happy that Roe could be overturned “Neanderthals”. As LifeNews reports:

“Hochul said during her speech on Monday:

The women of New York will never be subjugated to government-mandated pregnancies because that’s what will ensue if Roe v. Wade is overturned by the Supreme Court. This is the United States of America, where freedom and liberty are supposed to mean something. It’s the rock upon which we were founded. It is supposed to mean something. Except in the eyes of some Neanderthals who say women are not entitled to those rights.”

What a load of nonsense. The SCOTUS decision doesn’t affect New York’s own abortion laws! And “government-mandated pregnancies”? Who is pushing for that?

Simply put, in the vast majority of cases, pregnancy is consensual. In the cases where the pregnancy is not consensual, the government is not the one mandating the pregnancy but the “rapist”. And the rapist should be punished to the full extent of the law.

But in any event, two wrongs do not make a right. If the baby in the womb is a unique human being, it does not matter how it was conceived. We do not punish the child for the sins of the father here in America. That would be a true set of “Neanderthal” behaviors. In America, we know better than to support the evils of abortion, or at the very least, we should.
