Obama Reportedly Fears Donald Trump's Return In 2024, Doing Everything He Can To Stop Him

On Wednesday, former Attorney General Eric Holder, a close friend to 44th President Barack Obama, revealed that the former president is increasingly worried about the prospect of leading Republican presidential candidate and 45th President Donald Trump retaking the White House in the upcoming 2024 presidential election.

Holder told USA Today that there would be "incalculable damage" to the country if Trump were elected back into office to carry out a second term, one that would see major policy reversals such as a secure southern border, a peace through strength foreign policy approach, an improving economy, and more to reverse the damage of the Biden administration.

When asked if President Obama believes the same thing, Holder stated, "Absolutely. I don't think it's a question about that. I think that's what motivates him. I think that's what will continue to motivate him."

"This is certainly the campaign that President Biden is going to have to ultimately make decisions about," Holder continued. "President Obama is going to do everything he can to help in that regard, and that means campaigning, but it also means sharing strategic advice with [Biden]. And who better than President Obama to be a primary adviser to the campaign?"

The Obamas have become increasingly worried about the destruction of their legacy at the hands of Donald Trump in a second term that prioritizes America First policies. Earlier this week, former First Lady Michelle Obama said that she was "terrified" about the potential for Trump to be elected later this year.

"What's going to happen in this next election? I am terrified about what could possibly happen because our leaders matter," the former first lady explained on Jay Shetty's 'On Purpose' podcast. "Who we select, who speaks for us, who holds that bully pulpit, it affects us in ways that sometimes I think people take for granted. You know, the fact that people think that government, you know, does it really even do anything? And I'm like, 'Oh my God,' does the government do everything for us? We cannot take this democracy for granted, and sometimes I worry that we do. Those are the things that keep me up."

The Obamas are right to worry about a potential second term for the 45th president. Trump dominates in the polls against President Biden, with the Real Clear Politics polling average having the leading Republican presidential candidate up 2.2 percentage points over the elderly Democrat. Americans are tired of the failing policies of Democrat leaders like Obama and Biden, and they yearn for a return to the common sense blueprint that made America into a prospering powerhouse under the Trump administration.
