Obama Reportedly 'Furious' That Kamala Harris Is At The Top Of The Ticket, Doesn't Believe She Can Beat Trump

After President Joe Biden's unprecedented exit from the race on Sunday, Vice President Kamala Harris secured the endorsement of multiple Democrat Party leaders and secured enough delegates to become the presumptive Democratic nominee just 24 hours after the president made his announcement. While the Democratic apparatus and the media have rallied behind Biden's "border czar," one notable politician has refused to endorse her: President Barack Obama.

According to The New York Post, President Obama was reportedly caught off guard by Joe Biden's endorsement of Harris to be the Democratic nominee after his withdrawal from the race. The 44th president believes that Harris won't be able to defeat Donald Trump in November, and he wanted to have another candidate, reportedly Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ), be at the top of the ticket. Because of the last-minute move by Biden to back his vice president for the job, Obama is "furious," which explains "why he is not joining in the Democratic Party's support of Harris."

"Obama's very upset because he knows she can't win," a source close to the Biden family told The New York Post. "Obama knows she's just incompetent — the border czar who never visited the border, saying that all migrants should have health insurance. She cannot navigate the landmines that are ahead of her. When you are running for president, there are things you can and can't say."

The Democrat Party and the media have been relentless in attempting to reinvigorate Harris' image to the public by trying to tone down her progressive radicalism and separating her from the failed policies of the Biden administration. In particular, news outlets have begun to remove mentions of the vice president as Biden's "border czar" to attempt to prevent the American people from realizing that Harris was responsible for the crisis at the southern border. Despite the media's best attempts to run cover for Harris, however, the source told The Post that the upcoming debate between Trump and Harris will put the Democrats in an unsalvageable position.

"Wait until the debate … She can't debate. She's going to put her foot in her mouth about Israel, Palestine, Ukraine. She's going to say something really stupid," the source said. "Obama knew this was going to happen, Joe knew this was going to happen. Now she is going to have to answer real questions." 

President Obama, who helped orchestrate Biden's ouster from the race, realizes the electoral disadvantages that Kamala Harris possesses and is disappointed that he couldn't ensure a different candidate led Democrats to victory in November. The vice president's radicalism will continue to follow her throughout the general election campaign, allowing President Trump to starkly contrast his America First campaign and her progressive policies that put America last.
