On Eve Of Coronation, Donald Trump Reflects On The ‘Incredible’ Life Of Queen Elizabeth II – ‘We Had A Great Relationship Together’

During an interview on “Life, Liberty & Levin,” 45th President Donald Trump spoke about his experiences with Queen Elizabeth II as the coronation of King Charles III takes place on Saturday. The interview focused on Trump’s new book “Letters To Trump” which was released last week, as reported by Fox News Digital.

“You had a really great relationship with Queen Elizabeth. There’s correspondence in the book and also you told a story asking her who the greatest prime ministers were, who the greatest presidents were,” Levin said, asking, “How did that play out?”

“It was so great. I got to know her very well. I got to know her in her 90s but she was great. This is a woman that’s 75 years she reigns or more. And she never made a mistake. Now she had some difficulties with family members but that’s it. She never made a mistake,” Trump said.

“He’s a very nice guy too, I got to know him too, Charles. But she never, think of it, years,” he added.

Trump then recounted an incident that occurred in 1982 in which Michael Fagan broke into Buckingham Palace and sat with the Queen. Trump explained that despite the dangerous intrusion, Queen Elizabeth sat with and spoke with the man.

“She was talking to him calmly,” Trump explained. “By the way, I don’t know whatever happened to all those security people — with all the guards you have around, this guy somehow snuck [in].”

Trump explained that he was going to go to Buckingham Palace to meet her and that every time he was with her he would spend “ten times more time” to speak with the monarch.

“We had a great time. We had a great relationship together,” Trump remarked before sharing a story about asking the Queen who her favorite president was.

Queen Elizabeth refused to answer who was her favorite president, however, she said that she liked all of them. She also gave the same answer when asked what prime ministers were her favorite.

“She’s unbelievable. She’s like a steel trap,” Trump said before adding, “Many people have said that I was her favorite president. I will tell you I have heard from everybody. They honored our country and we had the most beautiful evening I’ve ever seen because no one can put it on like the English, nobody. We had the most unbelievable evening. And I sat next to her and there wasn’t a minute that stopped where we weren’t talking. It was just incredible. She was an incredible woman.”

Given Trump’s closeness with the late monarch, it is possible that he would get along with King Charles III if they were to meet in the future.
