'PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH!' Trump SLAMS Biden For Withholding Weapons From Israel Amid Rafah Invasion

On Wednesday, President Joe Biden announced that his administration would be withholding offensive weapons from Israel amid its ongoing offensive into the southern city of Rafah in the Gaza Strip to eliminate the remainder of the terrorist group Hamas. The weapon pause has led to significant backlash from Republicans, some Democrats, and Biden's main political opponent, Donald Trump.

"Crooked Joe Biden, whether he knows it or not, just said he will withhold weapons from Israel as they fight to eradicate Hamas Terrorists in Gaza," Trump wrote on Truth Social. "Hamas murdered thousands of innocent civilians, including babies, and are still holding Americans hostage, if the hostages are still alive. Yet Crooked Joe is taking the side of these terrorists, just like he has sided with the Radical Mobs taking over our college campuses, because his donors are funding them."

"Biden is weak, corrupt, and leading the world straight into World War III," the 45th president continued. "Remember - this war in Israel, just like the war in Ukraine, would have NEVER started if I was in the White House. But very soon, we will be back, and once again demanding PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH!"

According to The Washington Post, a senior Biden official explained that the administration was withholding the weapons over concerns about the impact on civilian populations amid the siege. "Israel should not launch a major ground operation in Rafah, where more than a million people are sheltering with nowhere else to go," the official said. "We are especially focused on the end-use of the 2,000-pound bombs and the impact they could have in dense urban settings as we have seen in other parts of Gaza."

While the official narrative from the White House is a humanitarian concern, Republicans like President Trump have alleged that Biden is caving to his far-left supporters who hope for all US military aid to Israel to be stopped. The military equipment, which was approved by Congress, being withheld includes 1,800 2,000-pound bombs, 1,700 500-pound bombs, and other equipment. During an interview with CNN on Wednesday, Biden told host Erin Burnett that he would not provide artillery shells, bombs for fighter jets, and other offensive weaponry that could be used during the operation.

The unprecedented pause in arms shipments has led some Congressional Republicans to demand that Biden be impeached, citing Democrats' first impeachment of Donald Trump in 2019. "The House has no choice but to impeach Biden based on the Trump-Ukraine precedent of withholding foreign aid to help with reelection," Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) wrote on X. "Only with Biden, it's true."
