WATCH: The People’s Convoy Arrives In the DC Beltway To Fight For Freedom By Protesting Mandates and Tyranny

There are few things more American than seeing American flags flying in the wind or trucks with pro-freedom signs traveling through the country. The People’s Convoy, inspired by the Canadian Trucker’s protest has been doing just that.

According to their website, the People’s Convoy was created to peacefully protest the Covid-19 mandates and the State of Emergency order. In their press release they said, “With the advent of the vaccine and workable therapeutic agents, along with the hard work of so many sectors that contributed to declining COVID-19 cases and severity of illness, it is now time to re-open the country. To that end, it’s time for elected officials to work with the blue-collar and white-collar workers of America and restore accountability and liberty – by lifting all mandates and ending the state of emergency – as COVID is well-in-hand now, and Americans need to get back to work in a free and unrestricted manner.”

The convoy is designed to be a peaceful demonstration and they claim to be nonpartisan as well. According to their statement “This convoy is about freedom and unity: the truckers are riding unified across party and state lines and with people of all colors and creeds – Christians, Muslims, Jews, Sikhs, Mormons, Agnostics, Blacks, Hispanics, Asians, Native Americans, Republicans, Democrats.”

The convoy was scheduled to arrive at the DC beltway on March 5th, however, the Convoy has not dispersed yet. According to the website, they have no plans to enter into DC “proper” and are complying with local law enforcement. So far, they have not entered but they announced via social media that would be driving around the beltway again today saying “DC Beltway here we come for the second time! Today we will be rolling 2 WIDE and 1 time around and will return to Hagerstown Speedway for the night. DC has been in contact with us!!!”

Lead Driver, Mike Landis explained the mission behind the peaceful protest in a People’s Convoy video saying “We the people want our country back, the one that we love, old glory, America the beautiful and brave.”
