President Trump Reveals Star-Studded List Of Special Guests To Honor Family Of Corey Comperatore, July 13 First Responders At Return To Butler Rally

On Friday, 45th President Donald Trump's campaign revealed the special guests that he will be taking with him for his upcoming rally on Saturday in Butler, Pennsylvania, the site of his first attempted assassination. The return to the rally site at the Butler Farm Show grounds in southwestern Pennsylvania comes as the 2024 race is in its final stretch, one month until Election Day.

Accompanying Trump at his rally are prominent politicians, titans of industry, first responders, and family members of Corey Comperatore, the man who was killed by the assassin's bullet meant for Trump on July 13. The lawmakers in attendance include Reps. Guy Reschenthaler (R-PA), Don Meuser (R-PA), Ronny Jackson (R-TX), Cory Mills (R-FL), Mike Waltz (R-FL), Mike Kelly (R-PA), Glenn Thompson (R-PA), and Sen. Eric Schmitt (R-MO). Other prominent individuals who will be joining the Republican presidential candidate include his running mate Sen. JD Vance (R-OH), Eric Trump, Lara Trump, billionaire Elon Musk, Agriculture Commissioner of Texas Sid Miller (R-TX), Pennsylvania Senate candidate Dave McCormick (R-PA), and others.

During the rally, Trump will also take time to honor Corey Comperatore's family, with Corey's wife, Helen, and two daughters, Allyson and Kaylee, in attendance. Corey's sisters, Dawn Comperatore-Schaffer and Kelly Meeder, and brother-in-law, Douglas Meeder, will also attend the rally. Other individuals in attendance include David Dutch, a survivor who was struck by one of the assassin's bullets on July 13, Dr. Jim Sweetland, one of the first responders on July 13, and various other rally attendees.

The trip to Butler is the first time the Republican candidate has returned to the site of the attempted assassination by 20-year-old gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks. The shooter was able to fire eight rounds from the nearby rooftop toward President Trump, leading to Trump being grazed on his right ear, the death of Corey Comperatore, and the serious injury of two others. A Secret Service countersniper team eliminated the threat as those guarding President Trump evacuated him from the area.

"President Trump's return to Butler will mark his first visit to the site of the attack since he was struck by an assassin's bullet on July 13—but was saved in what the world has recognized as an act of divine providence," the campaign said in a statement. "During his visit, President Trump will honor the memory of Corey Comperatore, who heroically sacrificed his life to shield his wife and daughters from the bullets on that terrible day. President Trump will also recognize the two other Americans who were wounded by the shooter, David Dutch and James Copenhaver. He will express his deep gratitude to law enforcement and first responders and thank the entire community for their outpouring of love and support in the wake of the attack."

"President Trump's return to Butler will stand as a tribute to the American spirit. In America, we do not let monsters like that evil assassin have the last word. Every time our nation is struck by attack or hardship, we rally, we persevere, and we prevail," the press release continued. "When terrorists knocked down our towering skyscrapers, we rebuilt taller. When our communities are ravaged by fire, storm, or natural disaster, we pull together and come back stronger. And when a shooter attacked our democracy and tried to end this movement, President Trump will return to the site, joined by tens of thousands of proud citizens, and together, they will celebrate a unifying vision for America's future in an event like the world has never seen before."

"After not one, but two attempts on his life in the past nine weeks, President Trump is more determined than ever to see his mission through to the end. In that Butler field on July 13, he took a bullet for democracy—and on November 5, he is going to save our democracy. With the help of the amazing people of Pennsylvania and citizens all across our land, we will make America safer, stronger, freer, and greater than ever before," the campaign concluded.

The rally will occur at the Butler Farm Show on Saturday, October 5. Supporters can attend beginning at 10 AM, and President Trump will begin his remarks at 5 PM.
