President Trump SLAMS Kamala Harris For 'FAKE And STAGED Photo' After Hurricane Helene Leaves Over 120 Dead

On Monday, Vice President Kamala Harris finally spoke out about the devastating impact of Hurricane Helene on the southeast, which has left over 120 Americans dead and left millions without power. Her message to America, however, was criticized after keen observers pointed out that the photograph, posted to Harris' social media, was staged, leading many to compare the image with the infamous photograph of President George W. Bush surveying the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

Hurricane Helene, which made landfall in Florida last week, has had devastating consequences across the southeast, leaving at least 121 dead across multiple states. The storm impacted large swaths of Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia. The most heavily impacted area was western North Carolina, where many were left stranded by floodwaters that destroyed entire towns and shut down roads leading into the mountainous region. The Category 4 hurricane saw up to 140 mph winds and a devastating storm surge that resulted in millions without power or supplies.

In response to the devastation, Vice President Harris received a briefing from FEMA Director Deanne Criswell while aboard Air Force Two; however, Harris was taking the phone call with wired earbuds that weren't plugged into the phone while taking notes on a blank sheet of paper. In her message, Harris promised that the "Administration will continue to stay in constant contact with state and local officials to ensure communities have the support and resources they need. Doug and my thoughts are with all those who lost loved ones and those whose homes, businesses, and communities were damaged or destroyed during this disaster."

The discrepancies in the image, seen by over five million Americans, led many, including President Trump, to argue that it was staged to show that she cared about the Americans impacted, most of whom live in predominantly Republican areas.

"Another FAKE and STAGED photo from someone who has no clue what she is doing. You have to plug the cord into the phone for it to work! Biden and Harris abandoned Americans in Afghanistan. They sacrificed Americans to an Open Border, and now, they have left Americans to drown in North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, and elsewhere in the South. Under this Administration, Americans always come last, because we have "leaders" who have no idea how to lead!"

In addition to claims that the photograph was staged, many pointed out that the image resembled President Bush's trip to New Orleans in 2005 after Hurricane Katrina. "Bush was eviscerated by the press for his Air Force One flyby over New Orleans on day three after Hurricane Katrina hit," Daily Mail political reporter Charlie Spiering wrote. "Here is Kamala Harris three days after Hurricane Helene..."
