Former Trump Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders has won her primary to represent the Republican Party in the 2022 Arkansas Gubernatorial elections. This win comes after a series of major endorsements — including an early endorsement from her former boss, Donald Trump himself. Indeed, the Former President endorsed her a mere five days after he left office in 2021:

She also had the support of the State’s two Senators — Tom Cotton and John Boozman, the incumbent Governor Asa Hutchinson, and Former Vice President Mike Pence. By winning the primary and representing the Republican Party in November, Sanders is following in the footsteps of her father, Mike Huckabee, who was the Republican Governor of Arkansas from 1996 to 2007.
