‘Go Woke, Go Broke’ — The Senate Just Killed A Key Biden Administration Woke ESG Initiative In Incredible Move, This is a MAJOR Victory

This Wednesday, the Senate passed a resolution formally overturning a Biden Labor Department Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) rule that incentivized private retirement fiduciaries to consider social issues like climate change when making investment decisions.

The measure passed in the Senate in a 50-46 vote. Joining the Republicans were two Democrat Senators — Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Jon Tester (D-MT). It passed in the House of Representatives Tuesday with a 216-204 vote, with one Democrat voting with the Republicans. As such, this is a major win in the fight against wokeness.

The ESG rule in question is wide-ranging and has several implications the American people deserve to be privy to.

“The Department of Labor rule is widely seen by Republicans as part of the Biden administration’s push to inject ‘woke’ ideology into all aspects of government,” Fox News reports. “Under the rule, fiduciaries who make investment decisions for the retirement plans of more than 150 million people would be explicitly permitted under federal guidelines to consider companies’ approach to climate change and other social issues, instead of focusing on only profitability and return on investment for retirees.”

Woke ideology and capitalism do not play well together. Wokeness is corrosive and it infects everything it touches. Simply put, if we as a country go woke, we go broke.

For our government to consider woke initiatives when incentivizing behaviors is neither just nor proper. We the people deserve a government that has our best interests in mind — not the whims of a transient ideology whose objective is to destroy America as we know it. The American people at large love their country and want her interests to be met. They are not on board with any ideology — no matter who supports it — that fails to make America great. Truly, wokeness is incapable of helping anyone — whether that be financially or otherwise.

Unfortunately for America, Biden is hard set on promoting wokeness at every turn. The White House will veto the measure according to Reuters. But this resolution sends a message that Biden’s corrosive policies are not okay with the American people.
