An Engagious/Schlesinger focus group of all Biden voters brought together on Tuesday unanimously decided that they do not want to see the 80-year-old president as the Democrat candidate for 2024.
The online focus group consisted of 13 residents of Michigan who voted for Donald Trump in 2016 and Biden in 2020, according to Axios.
Seven of the focus group are registered as Democrats, two as Republicans, and four as Independents. Eight out of 13 of those voters said that they would vote for a “generic, not-at-all controversial, middle-aged white male Republican governor” in 2024.
Biden “looks extremely frail to me, and I swear every time I see him, he looks older,” said Valerie C. about the ailing president.
“Trump looks exactly the same. It doesn’t look like he’s going anywhere for 30 years,” Valerie said about President Trump, adding, “Biden, I worry that he might be gone next week or something, so that’s kind of scary to see.”

“From the way I’ve seen him think and sort of be out of it when he’s in public, he doesn’t seem fit to be holding such a high position in office,” said Jill O. about Biden.
It is clear that President Biden is struggling to hold support, particularly amongst the constituencies that got him into the White House in the first place.
Biden won Michigan with 50.62 percent of the vote in 2020 whereas Trump had the support of 47.84 percent of the people of Michigan.
As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, a recent AP-NORC poll revealed that Biden only has support from 37 percent of Democrats for a second term which has decreased precipitously from the 52 percent high prior to the 2021 midterms.
With Democrats having few options for a presidential candidate that actually appeals to voters, Republicans have a plethora of options. With President Trump launching his campaign last November, Nikki Haley launching her campaign earlier this week, and multiple other potential candidates likely to vie for the Republican nomination, conservatives have plenty of opportunities to win the White House with winning candidates.
