A pair of billionaire oligarchs who have so far evaded U.S. sanctions against their native Russia reportedly were shopping for real estate with Hunter Biden and even enjoying fine dining with then-Vice President of the Obama administration: Joe Biden.
According to The New York Post, the future Democratic President and his son would discuss “favors” they might swap with the wealthy Russians citing unnamed sources.
The sources cited by the post alleged new details surrounding the associations between the president, his son, Yelena Baturina and Vladimir Yevtushenkov adding context and depth to initial clues from Hunter’s recovered laptop. The Post’s sources indicated just last week that the pair of Russians were again omitted from a fresh list of sanctioned individuals released by the U.S. Department of the Treasury on Friday.
NEW: Sources flesh out Biden family links to unsanctioned Russian oligarchs:
‘He can do a favor for us and we can do a favor for him,’ Vladimir Yevtushenkov allegedly said

One source described the situation saying, “I think it’s very fishy,” claiming first-hand knowledge of the business dealings between both Russians, sanctioned by the UK and Australia, and Hunter.
Michael McFaul, former Ambassador to Russia for the Obama administration said of Yevtushenkov, “I think he should be sanctioned.” McFaul told The Post, “I don’t understand why he has not been.” Yevtushenko was estimated by Forbes to be worth $1.7 billion. He owns a business known as Sistema that includes major Russian defense industries, rocket and radar manufacturer RTI, and drone-maker Kronstadt.
He admitted to meeting with Hunter in 2022 according to the Post, stating that he met with Hunter Biden at the Manhattan Ritz-Carlton on March 14th, 2012 but denied any other contact.
Steven Nelson reporting for the Post ,citing his source, wrote,
“I asked [Yevtushenkov], ‘Why are you doing this?’ on the front end — before I understood that they were going to buy some real estate,” the source told The Post. “‘Why are you even doing this? Why would you be paying the son of the vice president to meet at a public restaurant in New York City?’
“He made it very clear to me that, you know … ‘I think it would be good to have a good relationship with this guy … maybe he can do a favor for us and we can do a favor for him,’” the source continued. “It was a complete quid pro quo that he was going in for.”
“I told him that’s not the way it works in America, [but] he basically laughed at me and told me I was so naïve.”
Another unnamed source cited by Stevens reportedly told The Post that Baturina, the wife of the influential former mayor of Moscow Yury Luzhkov, had a “now-infamous, intimate dinner with Hunter and his father,” allegedly in 2015 at Cafe Milano.
“They could have played themselves on ‘Saturday Night Live,’” the source said.
“It was an odd dinner because there was [then-Kazakhstani Prime Minister Karim] Massimov, Luzhkov and his wife, and it was not a big table and then there was somebody there from some food charity making a pitch for support,” they explained. “I mean, it was, was — it was a little odd, the whole thing.”
Vadym Pozharskyi, a Burisma executive tied to Hunter Biden through his position on the company’s board, was also present.
