'Should Have NEVER Happened!': Donald Trump Responds To Alleged Murder Of 22-Year-Old Laken Riley By Suspected Illegal Immigrant

On Monday, presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump took to Truth Social to respond to the heinous murder of 22-year-old college student Laken Riley by an alleged illegal immigrant. The suspect in the case has been identified as Jose Antonio Ibarra.

Riley was found dead on the University of Georgia's campus on Thursday. One of Riley's friends reported her missing after she did not come back from a jog near the school's intramural fields. Authorities eventually found Riley without a pulse. They attempted CPR but were unable to resuscitate her. The young nursing student has "visible injuries" that led to the authorities suspecting foul play and launching an investigation, eventually settling on Ibarra as the main suspect.

During a press conference, UGA Police Chief Jeffrey L. Clark explained that Ibarra is not a citizen of the United States and that he potentially is from Venezuela. He has been charged with malice murder, felony murder, aggravated battery, aggravated assault, false imprisonment, kidnapping, hindering a 911 call, and concealing the death of another, as reported by Fox News. Authorities in New York previously had custody of Ibarra for endangering a minor, but he was released back onto the streets.

In response to the horrendous murder, 45th President Donald Trump slammed Joe Biden's open border policies that allowed Ibarra to enter the country illegally. "Crooked Joe Biden's Border INVASION is destroying our country and killing our citizens! The horrible murder of 22-year-old Laken Riley at the University of Georgia should have NEVER happened!" Trump wrote. "The monster who took her life illegally entered our Country in 2022…and then was released AGAIN by Radical Democrats in New York after injuring a CHILD!!"

"When I am your President, we will immediately Seal the Border, Stop the Invasion, and on Day One, we will begin the largest deportation operation of illegal CRIMINALS in American History!" the presumptive GOP nominee promised. "May God Bless Laken Riley and her family!!! Our prayers are with you!"

The Border Patrol Union also blamed Biden's lack of action on the border for Riley's death, writing, "Jose Ibarra didn't need any protection from Venezuela, jail or deportation. That's a sad joke. But Laken Riley sure as hell needed protection from Ibarra. And who protected her? All on you, Joe Biden. Stand up and be accountable for what you've done to this country. We'll wait."

President Trump is right. Biden's open border policies are having direct and devastating consequences on Americans across the country. Americans everywhere are praying for Riley's family in their time of grief.
