Teacher Threatens to Punish Students Next Year After They Object To PRIDE Video Shown In Class

Covertly taken video by a student at Edison High School in Huntington Beach, California has uncovered a disturbing incident in which students were compelled against their will to watch a Pride video under threat of being assigned Saturday school upon their return from Summer break. The video, which has absolutely no educational value, was shown during a math class according to conservative commentator Robby Starbuck.

As RedState reported, the students in the classroom clearly appear to push back vociferously against the video, audibly groaning and complaining. One student can clearly be heard moaning “Stop!” another student called out “Why are you showing this to kids?!”

Via Twitter Starbuck reported confirmation from Huntington Beach parents. He wrote,“Parents of kids at Edison High School in Huntington Beach, California say this video was played to their kids in math class. The kids clearly didn’t want to watch this pride video so the teacher threatened them with Saturday school to get them to watch it.”

The outlet reported that the as yet unnamed teacher of the tenth-grade class began to angrily scold the students into compliance.

“Hey! I’ll warn you guys now, if you’re going to be inappropriate, I will have supervision down [unitelligble]and give you all a Saturday school for next year. Knock it off!”

Bob Hoge writing for RedState reported that he had seemingly located the parent of the student who made the recording and has chosen to keep the person anonymous.
With respect to our colleagues at RedState, we can consider this report to be reliable.

He said the parent wrote,

“[Name redacted] came to me last night and said she was scared she did the wrong thing by taking the video. That right there is the innocence of youth and how easily they can be made to feel bad. A good time for evil to come in and take over. This right here is the most important lesson of all this.”

The video clip, was part of a student-produced school-spirit video for the school’s “Bolt TV” project. However, as Hoge notes, the cut from the student produced segment to the Pride video is abrupt and tonally out-of-sync with the rest of the presentation, and seems to almost be cut-in-between two unrelated segments with little to no segue or connective commentary between them.

RedState later reported in an update that the video in question was shown to the entire student body simultaneously not only that particular math class.
