On Monday, following the announcement of yet another indictment of Donald Trump, Ted Cruz called out the corrupt justice system for seemingly always timing their indictments around when bad news about Joe or Hunter Biden begins to cycle through the media.
Cruz shared the clip on his X (formerly Twitter) account, saying, “The timing here is nakedly political. Every time bad news comes out about Hunter or Joe Biden, you can set a stopwatch & within hours, some clown goes & indicts Donald Trump again. Then all of the little lemmings in the media go run and say, ‘Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump.’”
He brought up the House Oversight Committee sharing bank records that prove that the Biden family received over $20 million “from foreign sources while Joe Biden was vice president.” As previously covered by the DC Enquirer, Chairman James Comer (R-KY) released the bank records and exposed the family for receiving funds from Kazakhstan, Russia, and Ukraine. Much of it was done by Hunter Biden and his ex-best friend Devon Archer through their firm Rosemont Seneca. “Let me ask you Sean [Hannity], is there anything that Hunter Biden could do for you that would be worth twenty million dollars? Well, if you’re a Ukrainian oligarch or a Russian oligarch I guess so and if you actually go just after the vice presidency, Hunter and his family got another eight million dollars from the Chinese communists," Cruz explained. “You know what just happened last week? Last week, the statute of limitations ran on the eight million dollars that flooded to the Biden family from the Chinese communists,” he said angrily. “You know who let it run? David Weiss, the US attorney who is obstructing justice, who is blocking an investigation, and what did Merrick Garland do? He named him a special counsel which is disgraceful.” He then talked about how the appointment of Weiss as special counsel is illegal, saying that it “has to be someone outside the Department of Justice,” but that Garland simply doesn’t care. He added that it also is supposed to be someone with “integrity to prosecute,” but noted that Weiss is wholly lacking in that regard. This is far from the first time that big news against the Biden family has come right before an indictment of former President Trump. What once could be made to be a coincidence is quickly becoming a consistent pattern that draws concern over the legitimacy of the justice system. If there are two standards of justice given to men running for the office of the president, how can there be any hope of legitimacy?
