'The Immortal Heroes': Donald Trump Issues Heartwarming Message On 80th Anniversary Of D-Day

On the 80th anniversary of the D-Day invasion, presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump issued a heartwarming message to the World War II veterans who braved the beaches of Normandy to bring freedom to the European continent.

"Today, we honor the immortal heroes who landed at Normandy 80 years ago," Trump wrote on Truth Social. "The men of D-Day will live forever in history as among the bravest, noblest, and greatest Americans ever to walk the earth. They shed their blood, and thousands gave their lives in defense of American Freedom. They are in our hearts today and for all time."

The Trump campaign also posted a video of the 45th president's remarks on the 75th anniversary of D-Day in 2019. "More powerful than the strength of American arms was the strength of American hearts. These men ran through the fires of hell moved by a force no weapon could destroy: the fierce patriotism of a free, proud, and sovereign people," Trump said at the time. "They battled not for control and domination, but for liberty, democracy, and self-rule."

Trump's message to those who gave the ultimate sacrifice and those who lived to tell the story of the fallen stands in stark contrast to President Joe Biden's performance at the D-Day ceremony in Normandy. The American president was visibly confused multiple times throughout the ceremony.

As previously reported by the DC Enquier, the 81-year-old president, joined by French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, was seen attempting to sit in a nonexistent chair while standing with First Lady Jill Biden and his French counterpart. The elderly Democrat was also whisked away by his wife following a brief speech while a youthful Emmanuel Macron shook hands and spoke with veterans.

The contrast between Biden and Trump can't be clearer. While Biden honors America's veterans, he simultaneously humiliates the country while the world watches. In comparison, President Trump, who maintains a rigorous schedule between campaign stops and appearances at unjust trials, has proven his ability to work tirelessly for the American people. While both presidents honored the veterans who served America in the past, only one is fit to serve the country in the future.
