On Tuesday, new photos reported on by Fox News's Bill Melugin revealed that multiple armed men have been seen crossing the southern border into Fronton, Texas in the Rio Grande Valley on Saturday evening.
"Per law enforcement source, a group of suspected cartel gunmen armed with rifles & body armor were seen on cameras crossing illegally into the Fronton, TX area in the RGV Saturday night," Melugin reported. "Elite Border Patrol BORTAC agents were called out & searched area, but found nobody."
"Fronton, TX is a heavy cartel area with significant drug smuggling," he explained. "Border Patrol sources tell me armed gunmen are frequently encountered there. This was another group of suspected cartel gunmen who were arrested there in June."
In response to these developments, Congressman Chip Roy (R-TX) took to Fox Business to blast the Biden administration for its failing policies as well as his fellow Republicans who aren't putting up a fight in Congress.
"These cartels are emboldened and empowered by a president that does not care about our southern border," Roy said. "He is allowing it to become completely run by the cartels. And if anyone has not seen 'Sound of Freedom,' go see it."
"Go see who has the power. Go see who is abusing these young girls, these young children. We are allowing that to happen on our watch. No more, that's our message," Roy continued. "Governor Abbott is being sued by the Department of Homeland Security and this administration because he dares to try to stop the flow at our border, to stop the death, the fentanyl, to stop armed intruders."
"You know, the president and this administration can go straight to hell," the Republican representative boomed. "We have a job to do. My message to all my Republican colleagues: We are not going to fund a government that's at war with the people of Texas. We are not going to fund a government that is perpetuating the lawlessness, empowering cartels, allowing fentanyl to kill Americans, and allow little girls to get raped in stash houses in Texas."
"Enough. This is our fight. And I'm tired of Republicans who are giving lip service to it and for years have been supporting it because they want cheap labor," Roy explained. "We need to recontrol our border. Even Robert F. Kennedy Jr. gets it."
"We have an obligation to have a secure border," Roy concluded.
The border must be secured. The humanitarian disaster taking place along the Rio Grande is detrimental to the lives of not only Americans but the migrants who are being taken advantage of by the cartels and human traffickers.
