'This Is Biden Attacking Democracy': Trump Issues Urgent Message To Supporters Amid Criminal Trial

On Monday, presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump issued an urgent message to all Americans as the first day of the New York criminal trial brought against him by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg (D) began. The hush money case, one of four criminal indictments against Trump, was brought by Bragg last year and includes 34 felony charges against Trump for allegedly falsifying business records after the presidential candidate paid hush money payments to Stormy Daniels, an adult film actress that Trump allegedly had an affair with in the early 2000s.

"Our nation is right now crossing a very dangerous threshold in the middle of a presidential election; right smack in the middle, crooked Joe Biden and his entire corrupt party are staging a show trial of their leading political opponent, me," Trump said. "They want me to go on trial. It is totally crooked. It is totally corrupt. It has never been done before. In a completely illegitimate act of election interference, they are trying to jail their opposition as if they were Stalinist Russian or Communist Chinese or Castro's Cuba or socialist Venezuela. As you witness this Biden trial, I ask all Americans to remember that this isn't just about me. This is about our country, and this is about you."

"They go after Biden's political opponent because he can't do it. He's weak. He's ineffective. He's totally out of it. He can't walk off a stage from a speech, and he can't put two sentences together. So how do you do it? Go after his opponent. This is Biden attacking democracy. A continuation of the greatest witch hunt of all time," the 45th president explained. "The same group of thugs and their fake news allies have been trying to lie, cheat, and steal their way back to power."

Trump then asserted that if he were to lose the election in November, then it is possible that there might not be another election in the future. He also added that the same people who were behind the Russia collusion conspiracy theory are the same who are pursuing him via lawfare. Trump also slammed the two-tiered justice system that allowed Biden to get away "scot-free" after he mishandled classified documents while Trump was prosecuted for similar actions.

"Nothing happens to crooked Joe. Nothing happens to Democrats. The reason the Biden regime is tearing down every law to try to stop me is because I am the one who is fighting to defend you from their entire corrupt system. Remember, I am in the way. Without me, there is nobody in the way," Trump stated. "As these sick people have come after me, they're also coming after you. They want to take away your freedom of speech and punish you for your thoughts and political beliefs. They want to flood our country with millions and millions of migrants."

The presumpitve GOP nominee then concluded his remarks by calling on all Americans to support him in the upcoming November election to "make America great again" and take back the country.
