'This Issue Will Destroy New York City': Eric Adams Warns Of Doomsday For The Big Apple In Dire Speech

On Wednesday, New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) delivered a pretty dire speech to residents of the Big Apple, saying that he doesn’t “see any ending” to the masses of refugees pouring into the city and overwhelming its infrastructure.

"Let me tell you something, New Yorkers. Never in my life have I had a problem that I did not see an ending to. I don't see an ending to this. I don't see an ending to this. This issue will destroy New York City. Destroy New York City," Adams said during a town hall meeting. "We're getting 10,000 migrants a month.”

“One time we were just getting Venezuela. Now we’re getting Ecuador. Now we’re getting Russian-speaking coming through Mexico. Now we getting Western Africa. Now we’re getting people from all over the globe made their minds up they’re gonna through the southern part of the border and come into New York City,” he lamented. “And everyone is saying it’s New York City’s problem. Every community in this city is going to be impacted.”

"We had a $12 billion deficit that we're going to have to cut. Every service in this city is going to be impacted. All of us," Adams said. "It's going to come to your neighborhoods. All of us are going to be impacted by this. I said it last year when we had 15,000. I'm telling you now with 110,000. The city we knew we're about to lose. And we're all in this together."

But to Adams, rather than the problem starting with the Biden administration allowing tens of thousands of migrants to pour over the border every week or his own administration for being so foolish as to waste resources on illegals who only wish to take the prosperity of America and send it back to their native homes, the problem is Greg Abbott.

"What happened? It started with a madman down in Texas, decided he wanted to bus people up to New York City," Adams said. "One hundred ten thousand migrants. We have to feed, clothe, house, educate the children, wash their laundry sheets, give them everything they need, health care. And this team here, we stated, let's do everything possible before we have to push it out into neighborhoods and communities. Month after month, I stood up, and I said, ‘This is going to come to a neighborhood near you.’"

The entire time that the New York City mayor is ranting about the migrant issue, warning of imminent doomsdays for the city, there’s a simple solution dangling right in front of him. Simply revoke the city’s status as a sanctuary city.

If the migrants are so overwhelming that they’re tearing the city apart at its foundation, breaking up every facet of life that allows it to function, then the mayor needs to put his people before his own ego and revoke the Big Apple’s sanctuary city status.
