On Thursday, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) held a press conference after getting access to the informant document, FD-1023, that outlined Joe Biden's pay-to-play scheme that resulted in a $5 million payment to him and his son Hunter Biden.
Greene explained that the source is "extremely credible" because he is a paid informant of the FBI and that the information provided is credible.
She goes on to explain that Hunter Biden and his associates attempted to purchase a US-based oil and gas company through Burisma, however, they were being investigated by former Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin at the time of the purchase.
The document then alleges that the owner of Burisma Holdings paid $5 million to both Hunter Biden and Joe Biden in order to get Shokin fired from his post and thus free Burisma to continue with its activities.
During this time, then-Vice President Biden claimed that Shokin was corrupt likely due to him holding up Hunter's business dealings in Ukraine.
"It was all a bribery to get Shokin fired and end the investigation into Burisma," Greene said, adding that this is common practice in Russia and Ukraine.
"This was definitely illegal for a vice president of the United States and their family members," she added.
Greene then went on to explain that the owner of Burisma was disappointed with a Trump victory in 2016 since he had "invested a lot of money into the Biden's to make his problems go away."
The informant then alleges that the Burisma owner said that it would take the American public ten years to put together all the payments made to the Biden family thanks to the various banks and shell companies used to funnel the money into the Biden family's pockets.
It was later discovered by the informant that he "has two pieces of evidence showing proof of payment to Hunter and specifically Joe Biden." Greene went on to explain that many of these bribes are kept track of in order to ensure that you are able to blackmail individuals if they do not follow through with their promises.
The Georgia lawmaker then called upon the FBI to continue to cooperate with Congress and emphasized that the American people have the right to view the unclassified document in full.
