The living legend of country music, stage, and screen, Dolly Parton is one of the best-known American celebrities of the twentieth century, readily identifiable the world over. In a recent interview about her latest book, Parton, as she has many times before, emphasized what led her to the life she enjoys today from her humble beginnings: faith.
“My faith impacts everything that I do because I do believe that, through God, all things are possible,” Parton said according to Fox News.
“And so I always ask God to bless everything that I do and the people that I work with and to bring all the right things and right people into my life and to take the wrong ones out.
“So, I try to just live through love as much as I can. And so I just think that my spirituality has been a guiding light in my life and my strength, really, in my creative energy. And my spiritual energy has really been a great force to keep me going all these years and still being productive.”
Productive could be an understatement. Parton, at 77 years old has been a force of nature sweeping from the Smokey Mountains down to Nashville and into honkytonks and living rooms for over six decades now.
DOLLY PARTON REBUKES SATAN IN STUNNING PERFORMANCE
Fox News‘s latest check-in with the business empire that Dolly built has her working on releasing her latest of many books, one aimed at children, “Billy the Kid Makes It Big” which follows a dog named ‘Billy the Kid,’ who has to overcome bullying to make it big in country music.
Parton tweeted about the new book on Tuesday writing,
“I am so proud to bring this book and the message it conveys to life. When I launched the @DoggyParton line of pet products earlier this year, my god-dog @btkthefrenchie got to be the star of the show. Since he’s a big star now, I knew a story with him at the center could help drive home important messages in a unique way. I hope this is the first of many books with Billy. My new book, ‘Billy The Kid Makes It Big’ is out now.”
