Top Biden Advisor Leaving The White House In Major Shakeup

On Monday, it was revealed that Biden’s Domestic Policy Chief and former U.N. Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice will be leaving the White House next month.

Rice’s last day will be May 26th, according to NBC News, marking two years by Biden’s side advising him on his various domestic policies.

Biden’s Chief of Staff, Jeff Zeints, told NBC that Rice brought the Domestic Policy Council “to new heights.”

“It is extraordinary when you think about what she’s done in terms of public service across her career, capped off by being the first person ever to be the national security adviser and domestic policy adviser,” said Zients. “It really speaks a lot to her leadership and her range.”

“Susan was there during this two-year period where there was just an incredible and historic burst of policymaking, and the next year and a half is going to be different. It’s going to call for a different approach to policy,” said the Director of the National Economic Council Brian Deese. “The role and the requirements for the role are going to be different, and I think they’ll take that into consideration.”

Some commentators online claim that Rice was fired by Biden given the recent foreign policy failures of the Biden administration.

“Sources reveal Susan Rice has been fired by President Biden. Rice has been responsible for the Afghan surrender, the Ukraine proxy war, Taiwanese escalation, and most recently the decision to abandon thousands of Americans in Sudan,” wrote conservative commentator Amuse on Twitter.

“NBC has failed to cover the secret hand of Susan Rice for the last few years,” wrote Richard Grenell. “She’s plotted at State and the intel agencies without scrutiny. She leaves the White House with world chaos in her wake.”

Overall, Rice’s departure from the White House will prove to be a major shakeup to the administration as Biden plans to announce his reelection bid on Tuesday.
