Megyn Kelly Blasts Transgender Athlete After Female Cyclists Refuse To Show Up To Award Ceremony

A transgender cyclist is being destroyed on social media after winning the female category of a gravel race and then taking to social media to whine about how no other competitors stuck around for the podium.

Lesley Mumford, a biological male who transitioned back in 2017, finished first in the female 40-49 age bracket and sixth place in the overall race in Sunday’s 100-mile Desert Gravel Co2UT, per the New York Post. The event did have a non-binary category, though Mumford decided to enter the women’s category anyways despite not fitting the criteria. 

Leslie beat the second-place racer Lindsey Kriete, a biological female, by 17 minutes, and third-place racer, Michelle Van Sickle, also a biological female, by well over 30 minutes. 

The transgender cyclist wrote on his Instagram (which has now been made private) following the stolen victory, “I have no idea why so many people bailed before the podiums, but they did. I swear I wasn’t the only one in my age group.”

Mumford served for 17 years in law enforcement before transitioning in 2017, making a big spectacle out of his transition announcement at his workplace, per Summit Daily. He even roped in his son into the announcement, making the seven-year-old announce at his place of work “‘My mom’s going to tell you she’s transgender.’”

Despite Mumfords ignorance of the situation, social media was quick to place the reason behind the notable absences at the podium. No woman would be able to happily sit next to a man who beat them in a female-only race, and we were able to see that here.

Users on Twitter began to chime in on the fight against transgenders in women's sporting events, with three-time Olympian and Tour de France medalist Inga Thompson writing, “The silent protests are starting! The women are refusing to stand on the podium with the man! Well done!!!”

“This man just cheated and robbed a woman & he is so oblivios? Must be one hell of a brainwashing these trans people get,” another Twitter user wrote.

Megyn Kelly also jumped onto the disgraceful story, speaking on her Thursday episode of ‘The Megyn Kelly Show’ on how “there’s a story every other day now about a trans person winning a women’s cycling event.” 

“He suddenly decides he’s a woman, and goes and steals all their medals. No wonder [female athletes] are quitting,” Kelly stated on her Thursday show. “Women’s cycling is all but gone to us – I mean it’s worse, I think, than women’s swimming.”

This isn’t the first time in recent history a transgender athlete has compromised the athletic integrity of a women’s cycling event. Back in March, cyclo-cross champion Hannah Arensman retired entirely from the sport following a loss to a biological man, saying “My sister and family sobbed as they watched a man finish in front of me,” as previously reported by the DC Enquirer.

It’s sad to see another women’s sport so quickly fall apart because of mentally ill men wanting to force their fetish upon innocent victims. Women in these events must continue to step up and fight against the injustice that is being forced upon them in the name of appeasing the woke mob.
