During a University of Winnipeg town hall that went largely unremarked, particularly by many Americans, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau once again attempted to place his increasingly authoritarian radical leftist government on some sort of morally superior level above the U.S.
While championing the "rights" of what he calls the "2SLGBTQI+" on May 26th, he falsely asserted that the group is "constantly being attacked" in the U.S. and vowed this would never happen under his government.
Trudeau told the crowd,
"It's scary... It's scary to see what's happening in the United States. It's scary to see a country that was founded centuries ago as... with the ideals of freedom and democracy in its almost most utopic forms despite the real challenges of who got to be a voting Citizen and slave ownership at the origins of the United States but that ideal that everyone was created equal but eventually was hard won through the latter half of the 20th century in many senses start to turn its back on that."
Whether it's 2SLGBTQI+ rights that are being constantly attacked, whether it's women's rights seeing the clock turned back, I mean generations of women marched on the U.S Capitol to fight for rights that are now slipping something's happening and Canada is not immune to that."
"We're a little more resilient to it for now but what's happening in the United States is bleeding into political discourse in Canada," he argued.
"Whether it's the attacks we're seeing on uh drag readings and libraries for example that we saw just a, just a, just a few months ago. Whether it's the horrific attacks on 2SLGBTQI+ rights um that we're seeing in you know we saw it recently here in Manitoba and Brandon and I would love to tell you that no Canadian government would ever let that happen but I can't," the prime minister continued.
"My government will never let that happen," Trudeau asserted, adding, "My government will always stand up unequivocally for women's rights for 2SLGBTQI+ rights for the freedoms guaranteed in the Charter of Rights and Freedoms for people to be who they are."
Trudeau was roundly criticized in international media for 'upgrading' what is largely known as the LGBTQ+ community to the "2SLGBTQI+." Canada.ca the government's website advised:
"Since August 2022, the Government of Canada uses 2SLGBTQI+ (2S: at the front, recognizes Two-Spirit people as the first 2SLGBTQI+ communities; L: Lesbian; G: Gay; B: Bisexual; T: Transgender; Q: Queer; I: Intersex, considers sex characteristics beyond sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression; +: is inclusive of people who identify as part of sexual and gender diverse communities, who use additional terminologies). The acronym often used internationally is LGBTI (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex)."
Trudeau also created an entire department for dealing with this group, known as the "2SLGBTQI+ Secretariat" within the Ministry of Women and Gender Equality, headed by The Honourable Marci Ien, the Minister for Women and Gender Equality and Youth.
And to hear the leader of what is ostensibly America's closest ally speak in such disparaging terms about our nation and our efforts to protect the innocence of American children from the irreversible damage of over-sexualization, hormonal modifications, genital mutilation, sexual abuse, and child human trafficking, is truly, as Trudeau put it "scary."
It must be terrifying for Canadians to hear that Trudeau and his government would "never let" those noble efforts occur. And as the world saw clearly during the Freedom Convoy, we know how Ottawa handles dissent from radical leftist identitarian orthodoxy. They brand it a hate crime and persecute their ideological opponents handing down harsh prison sentences and fines.
Contrary to Trudeau's claim, it is the government of Canada that is "scary" today.

Keep the fool in power and it won't be long before you're another China. We don't care if you're gay, we just don't want it in the schools, in the libraries or anywhere else around children. If you aren't with that, you can feel free to fuck off you entitled socialist.
