A recent survey from Rasmussen Reports revealed that 45th President Donald Trump is the most respected political leader in America as more and more Americans realize the strength of his first term in office every day.
The survey, taken via the phone and online surveys from February 5-7 with 749 likely voters, asked voters the following question: "Which one of the following people do you respect most as a leader: Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders, Donald Trump, Nikki Haley, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton or Mitt Romney?"
In response to the query, the likely voters said that President Trump is the most respected, with 42 percent of respondents providing him as their answer, while President Biden was seen as the most respected by 21 percent. Former President Barack Obama was respected by 17 percent of voters contacted.
Other notable figures that were asked about in the survey include Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), who was most respected by five percent of respondents; former Gov. Nikki Haley (R-SC), who was most respected by five percent; Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) who was most respected by three percent, and former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton who was seen as the most respected by only two percent of respondents.
The poll found that Trump's dominance of the competition was fueled by the fact that 75 percent of Republican respondents said that he was the most respected political leader in America. Only 43 percent of Democrats, on the other hand, said that the sitting president was the most respected political leader. For Obama, 30 percent of Democrats said he was the most respected. Among centrist voters, Trump was seen as the most respectful, with 30 percent compared to Obama and Biden's 23 percent each.
It's no surprise that Trump is seen as the most respected political leader in America, given his popularity and dominance in the polls. The Real Clear Politics polling average has Trump up 1.2 percent over Biden, and recent swing state polls show Trump dominating the elderly Democrat in every single state critical to winning in 2024.
A recent Morning Consult and Bloomberg News poll released at the end of last year found Trump beating Biden by an average of 5.28 percent in the swing states of North Carolina, Georgia, Wisconsin, Nevada, Michigan, Arizona, and Pennsylvania.
As Trump's lead continues to remain steady ahead of the November elections, Americans are showing their true colors on how they feel about the presumptive Republican nominee. Trump had the most successful presidency of the 21st century, and Americans respect him because of it. Given his massive lead in various swing state polls, Trump could be set to win the White House in 2024 and make America into a country worth respecting again.
