Trump Gets Great News With New Poll Showing His Popularity Increasing Despite Indictments

A new poll out from Morning Consult has found that leading 2024 presidential candidate and 45th President Donald Trump is enjoying another bump in favorability among Republican primary voters as he continues to take to the campaign trail despite the various indictments against him.

According to the pollster, Trump enjoys a 78 percent favorability rating amongst GOP voters while only 20 percent have an unfavorable view of him and two percent have no opinion. The leading Republican candidate's favorability seems to have jumped in recent weeks as last week's poll found that he had a 76 percent favorability.

In addition, the former president's net favorability rating sits at 58 percent, making it one of the highest points in recent months, as reported by Breitbart. Trump has continued to show that despite his legal troubles, he is the most beloved candidate in the Republican field.

This is in contrast to the other Republicans in the field with Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) coming in with a favorability rating of 66 percent along with an unfavorability rating of 19 percent with nine percent having no opinion and six percent not being familiar with the candidate.

Other notable candidates include former Vice President Mike Pence (R-IN) who has a favorability of 49 percent and an unfavorability rating of 42 percent. Other include former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley (R-SC) with 44 percent viewing her favorably, Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) with 42 percent, Vivek Ramaswamy with 38 percent, and Chris Christie with only 28 percent favorability from GOP voters.

It is becoming increasingly clear that Trump is cementing his lead in the GOP primary race with the latest polls finding him over 35 points ahead of the closest challenger.

A recent survey out from the pollster found that Trump enjoys 57 percent support from the Republican electorate while DeSantis holds 20 percent, Mike Pence has seven percent, and Nikki Haley, Tim Scott, Chris Christie, and Vivek Ramaswamy all hold three percent support. All other candidates polled at or below one percent.

The various indictments against President Trump have done the exact opposite of what many Democrats have hoped. Trump has seen his support increase in recent months resulting in millions of dollars in fundraising and the former president's endorsement list to continue to expand.

According to Five Thirty Eight's endorsement tracker, Trump has by far the most endorsements from Republican lawmakers than any other candidate in the race. According to the tracker, which weights endorsements on a weighted basis, Trump has 277 points compared to DeSantis' 39 points.

With results like these, it is becoming increasingly obvious that the Republican electorate wants President Trump to lead the party once again in 2024.
