Tucker Carlson To Give First Post-Fox Interview— To Russell Brand On Rumble

Tucker Carlson is apparently ready to start answering questions about his seismic departure from Fox News and has agreed to sit for an interview with none-other-than one of the UK's most outspoken truth sayers: actor & comedian turned podcast giant, Russell Brand.

Posting to Twitter Wednesday, Brand announced that Carlson is expected to join him for 'Stay Free with Russell Brand' on the Rumble video platform and will take live questions from Brand's 1.2 million strong streaming video audience.

He wrote, "FRIDAY. Tucker. We're streaming our conversation LIVE on Rumble and you can be in the virtual audience, ask questions and get involved in the chat! Don't miss this one, tune in from 9am PT | 12pm ET | 5pm BST"

In March, prior to his departure from Fox News, Brand joined Carlson on his Fox Nation show 'Tucker Carlson Today'.

According to Brand, Carlson is joining the program as part of an ongoing series on Censorship which has seen him joined by the likes of independent journalists Matt Taibbi and Michael Shellenberger, attorney & human rights advocate Stella Assange, actor & activist Tim Robbins, Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., and Twitter Founder & former CEO Jack Dorsey.

Upon Carlson's departure from Fox, Brand weighed in almost immediately in a video entitled "WHAT THE F*CK JUST HAPPENED" telling his audience, "Tucker Carlson has left FOX News and I see this as a big harbinger, the beginning of the end for the mainstream media."

As reported by RealClearPolitics, Brand said Carlson's departure "shows the media is obsessed with itself in a sort of narcissistic spiral, reporting on its own perspective, its own heroes, and its own villains."

He asked rhetorically,

"What is the mainstream media supposed to be for? Just for a moment, remind yourself that it is actually about giving you information about important stuff. Like how the government are governing, how corporations are behaving, the information you need to live your life efficiently and effectively, so you're informed politically. You know it doesn't do that."

In Brand's patented estuary-cockney-esque English accent he dropped a knowledge bomb on unsuspecting viewers, "You know that the mainstream media is owned by certain corporate interests. You know that it get all its revenue from the pharmaceutical industry. You know that they're tied up with the military-industrial complex. You know that they support the state with only partisan distinctions between this party or that party defining their outlook. They do not serve in your awakening. They do not serve your empowerment."

"Where Tucker Carlson goes next will inform us a great deal about our political landscape."

Brand later tweeted, "Forming alliances across the political spectrum is vital to tackle centralized authority - that's why
@TuckerCarlson is joining me on my show TOMORROW Let me know if you'll be watching the show & tweet your questions - i'll pick my favourites and put them to Tucker"

Whilst they sit in very different sections of the political spectrum, free speech seems to be the overarching uniting force that has drawn Brand and many like him into earnest conversations with many prominent conservatives and libertarians and Friday's show should be a fascinating development in the legitimate exchange of idea's we've seen in decades.
