On Wednesday evening, Tucker Carlson released a two-minute video on his Twitter finally breaking his silence after leaving Fox News on Monday morning.
Thirty-six hours later, the video has been viewed by over 73,000,000 people. After just a day the video breached 66 million views, according to Just The News.
As of this report, Carlson has had 21.6 million people watch the entirety of his video through his post and the tweet has received 191,000 retweets, 24,000 quote tweets, 889,000 likes, and 89,000 comments.
This pales in comparison to what he would normally get at his former network and blows them out of the water, particularly after his replacement Brian Kilmeade has attempted to fill his shoes.
As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, Fox News is seeing its worst ratings in the key demographic of 25-54 since before 9/11.
FOX NEWS SEES RATINGS NIGHTMARE, TUCKER CARLSON’S FORMER SLOT SEES OVER TWO MILLION VIEWERS TUNE OUT
CNN senior media reporter Oliver Darcy spelled out the carnage best during an interview with Anderson Cooper when he said, “I think it’s also noteworthy, Anderson, that without Carlson in the 8 p.m. hour over at Fox News, the ratings over there are really collapsing.”
“Last night, in the key advertiser-supported, coveted 25 to 54 demo, they saw the worst ratings since pre-9/11,” Darcy revealed, as reported by Mediaite. “That’s a really staggering drop over at Fox News. The hour before it actually rated higher than the 8 p.m. hour, which is something of an anomaly over at Fox – something certainly that never happened when Tucker Carlson was in that hour.”
Kilmeade was only able to attract 124,000 viewers from the key demo while CNN managed 139,000 and MSNBC got 167,000 viewers, clearly showing that a Fox without Tucker is a Fox without those between 25 to 54.
On Tucker’s penultimate show on Thursday, he brought in 334,000 viewers from that age frame meaning that Kilmeade lost over half of his audience, approximately 62 percent.
Tucker Carlson continues to dominate the American consciousness and he doesn’t even need Fox News to do so.
