Shocking New Poll Shows Deep Blue Washington US Senate Seat Could Flip Red: Republican Challenger within Poll’s Margin of Error

A new poll released Sunday shows that Washington – a state that hasn’t had a Republican governor since 1980 – is getting swept up in the red wave as Republican senatorial candidate Tiffany Smiley gains ground on Patty Murray (D).

The Trafalgar poll, which was conducted from September 21 to September 24, found that Murray is only leading the GOP nominee by 2.2 percent which lies within the 2.9 percent margin of error.

With the Senate race now being a tossup, the 4.8 percent of undecided voters will decide whether Democrats hold onto their seat or whether it changes hands for the first time since 2001.

A flip of Washington’s Senate seat would be an upset for Democrats and surprising to Republicans. It is likely, however, that the current enthusiasm invigorating the GOP base could transform political commentators’ calculations of the control of Congress.

The fight for Congress has increasingly taken a Republican direction as the Democrats’ momentum begins to die down as October begins.

A new ABC News/Washington Post poll released Sunday showed that Republicans have a 21-point lead on the congressional ballot in key battleground districts across the country.

NEW POLL: REPUBLICANS DOMINATING DEMOCRATS IN KEY BATTLEGROUND DISTRICTS

“Among those living in congressional districts that are rated as at least somewhat competitive by ABC’s FiveThirtyEight (neither solid Republican nor solid Democratic), registered voters favor Republican candidates by a wide 55-34 percent,” the poll results explained, adding it was, “nearly as big as the Republican lead in solid GOP districts (+24 points).”

While Republicans are winning in unexpected districts and states, it will be a more uphill battle in places like Pennsylvania and Arizona.

Currently, Mark Kelly (D) is leading Blake Masters (R) in the Arizona Senate race by seven and a half points while John Fetterman (D) leads Dr. Mehmet Oz (R) by seven points, according to FiveThirtyEight.

GOP candidates, however, are neck-and-neck with Democrats in the Nevada and Georgia Senate contests. Rafael Warnock (D) leads Herschel Walker (R) by only two percent while Catherine Cortez Masto (D) is practically tied with Adam Laxalt in Nevada’s contest with only a 0.7 percent lead, per FiveThirtyEight.

The battle for the Senate will be dependent upon Republican voters getting out to the polls this November. Without them, President Joe Biden (D) will be able to continue his destructive agenda.
