WATCH: A Gleeful Tucker Carlson Enjoys ‘Retirement’ In Sunny Florida After Fox News Departure – It’s ‘Going Great So Far’

On Wednesday morning, The Daily Mail released a new piece that highlighted a gleeful Tucker Carlson after he departed Fox News on Monday.

According to The Mail, Carlson emerged from his $5.5 million beach home in Boca Grande, Florida, and said, “Retirement is going great so far.”

“I haven’t eaten dinner with my wife on a weeknight in seven years,” Carlson said.

When The Daily Mail asked him about his potential future after over two decades in the cable news world, Carlson mused, “Appetizers plus entrée.”

Carlson seems to be enjoying his vacation time away from the workplace with his wife as a video published by The Mail shows Tucker and his wife driving a golf cart down a small road as Carlson laughed.

While the former Fox News host is having a great time deciding what his next move with be along with his producer Justin Wells, his former network isn’t having the best of times.

FOX NEWS LOSES NEARLY HALF A MILLION VIEWERS AFTER TUCKER CARLSON’S DEPARTURE

As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, Fox News has lost nearly half a million viewers in their primetime 8 pm slot with the new show ‘Fox News Tonight.’

On Thursday evening, Tucker’s penultimate show, the Fox host pulled in 2,992,000 viewers thus blowing out the competition at CNN, Anderson Cooper got 543,000 viewers, and MSNBC, Chris Hayes pulled 1,372,000 viewers, per AdWeek.

In contrast, Monday evening saw a drastic downshift in total viewers for the 8 pm timeslot, per Adweek. The Monday show, titled ‘Fox News Tonight’, was hosted by Brian Kilmeade and only brought in 2,597,000 total viewers.

That would mean that the difference between Tucker’s penultimate show and the most recent show without Tucker had a net loss of 395,000 and it is likely that the numbers will be even worse for Tuesday’s show once the older audience realizes that Carlson isn’t on a hiatus but instead departed the company.

It’s clear that Carlson has a bright future ahead of him in the media world if he so chooses to venture back into the waters, but for now, it seems all he wants to do is relax in the warm Florida sun.
