WATCH: AOC Calls For Censorship Of Tucker Carlson For ‘Inciting Violence’

On Sunday, Rep. Alexandria Ocascio-Cortez (D-NY) appeared on MSNBC‘s ‘The Inside Interview with Jen Psaki’ to call for the silencing of conservative voices on cable news like Fox News‘s Tucker Carlson because she believes that they “incite violence.”

AOC made the comments in relation to the recent ruling in the Dominion Voting case against Fox News that resulted in a $787 million settlement. The New York Democrat explained that Dominion should have attempted to get an apology out of Fox for its coverage.

“I think what is best for the country, what would have been best for the county is to demand that and to not settle until we got that,” Ocascio-Cortez said. “But that’s not their role. So for us, I think this really raises much larger questions.”

“Very often I think we leave to the courts what politics is supposed to solve,” the Democrat continued. “What our legislating is supposed to solve. We have very real issues with what is permissible on air and we saw that with January 6th.”

“And we saw that in the lead up to January 6th and how we navigate questions of freedom of speech but also accountability for incitement of violence,” she continued. “This is the line that we have to really explore through law as well.”

“Do you think media organizations or social media platforms should be accountable for the role of being platforms for incitement?” the former White House press secretary asked.

“I believe that when it comes to broadcast television like Fox News, these are subject to federal law, federal regulation in terms of what is allowed on air and what isn’t,” the ‘Squad’ member claimed. “And when you look at Tucker Carlson and some of these other folks on Fox do, it is very clearly incitement of violence.”

“Very clearly incitement of violence. And that is the line that I think we have to be willing to contend with,” she concluded.

Once again the radical Left show its true illiberal colors. They would much rather rid their political enemies of their constitutional rights of freedom of speech and freedom of the press rather than actually engage in debate and find a better path forward for America.
