WATCH: At CNN Town Hall, Donald Trump Outlines His First Task In Second Term To Fix The Economy - 'Drill Baby, Drill!'

On Wednesday evening, 45th President Donald Trump sat down with CNN's Kaitlin Collins for a town hall in New Hampshire. During the town hall, Trump tackled January 6th, the 2020 election, and what Americans can expect for a second term.

When asked what Trump would do to fix the economy and tackle inflation, President Trump said, "Drill baby, drill."

He went on to explain that oil and natural gas are one of America's strongest assets that made the "the greatest economy in the history of the world" during his presidency.

"We were energy independent. We were soon going to be energy dominant," he said adding that prices were extremely low during his presidency.

"We were going to be bigger than Russia and Saudi Arabia put together times two," he said. "We have more liquid gold under our feet than any other nation and these stupid fools ended it."

He went on to explain that the increased energy prices are what supercharged inflation. He also added that the 2017 tax cuts and regulation cuts allowed for the economy to take off under his presidency.

The leading Republican candidate then explained that the country brought in billions in taxes from China.
