WATCH: Biden Campaign Faces Backlash After Attempting To Claim Trump Called Migrants 'Animals' - 'Another Day And Another Hoax'

On Tuesday, the Biden campaign attempted to slander presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump by claiming that the 45th president called illegal immigrants "animals" by deceptively posting an out-of-context clip to social media. In reality, however, Trump was referring to the illegal immigrant who mercilessly murdered 22-year-old Georgia college student Laken Riley in February.

Riley was found dead on the University of Georgia's campus on February 22. One of the young woman's friends reported her missing after she did not come back from a jog near the school's intramural fields. Authorities eventually found Riley without a pulse and were unable to resuscitate her. The young nursing student had "visible injuries" that led to the authorities suspecting foul play and launching an investigation, eventually settling on 26-year-old Jose Antonio Ibarra as the main suspect. Investigators later revealed that Riley was beaten to death with an object that led to "seriously disfiguring her body … by disfiguring her skull." Following the beating, Ibarra, an illegal migrant from Venezuela, then dragged her body to a secluded area.

Ibarra has been charged with malice murder, felony murder, aggravated battery, aggravated assault, false imprisonment, kidnapping, hindering a 911 call, and concealing the death of another, as previously reported by the DC Enquirer. Authorities in New York previously had custody of Ibarra for endangering a minor. Still, the NYPD released him onto the streets before Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) could issue a detainer.

In reaction to the brutal murder that was caused by Biden's border bloodbath, Trump told supporters in Grand Rapids, Michigan, that Ibarra was an "animal" for what he did to the young woman. "A nursing student in Georgia who was barbarically murdered by an illegal alien animal. Democrats say, please don't call them animals. They're humans. I said, no, they're not humans. They're animals. Nancy Pelosi told me that, she said, please don't use the word animal when you are talking about these people. I said I'll use the word animal because that's what they are."

Following his remarks, the campaign account Biden-Harris HQ posted a seven-second clip that only included the latter half of Trump's statement, deceptively excluding the full context that he was speaking about Ibarra and not migrants generally. Trump made crime by illegal aliens the centerpiece of his two rallies in Michigan and Wisconsin on Tuesday by highlighting the alleged murder of 25-year-old Ruby Garcia by an illegal migrant.

The Trump campaign, alongside several conservative commentators, blasted the Biden campaign for the deceptive tactic, with Team Trump writing, "Why is the Biden campaign constantly jumping to the defense of bloodthirsty illegal alien murderers who killed American citizens? President Trump was clearly speaking of Laken Riley's killer here."

"Crazy how the Biden campaign account can push lies like this all day and never be fact-checked," wrote Tim Young. Commentator ALX also slammed the Biden campaign, writing, "He's talking about criminal illegal aliens that have taken innocent lives like Laken (not Lincoln) Riley and Ruby Garcia. Why does the Biden Campaign repeatedly come to the defense of criminal murderers?"

"Another day and another hoax from the Biden campaign. It's bloodbath part two," Donald Trump Jr. wrote on X. "Here is the full video where Trump is clearly calling the illegal who murdered Laken Riley an animal. Does Biden think her killer is a good person and not an animal???"
