On Wednesday, President Joe Biden landed in Israel following the massacre of over 1,300 Israelis and at least 30 Americans last weekend to show support for the Middle East democracy as it prepares a ground offensive of the Gaza Strip against Hamas.
During his visit, however, Biden, who traveled overnight to meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, practically collapsed during his meeting with the embattled Israeli leader.
Throughout his public meeting with Netanyahu, Biden was seen slurring his words, speaking in a whisper, and going on confusing tirades that led to immense criticism on social media.
"I asked the secretary of state when he and I were working in the Senate to write something for me and he said he wrote a line that I think is appropriate," Biden attempted to explain. "He said, 'It's not we lead, it's not just...' Well, I won't go into it, I'll wait 'til later, taking too much time."
"Biden is collapsing in this Israel meeting. He can’t even stay awake," wrote Jack Posobiec. "This is hard to watch. It's no wonder everyone is taking advantage of him."
"There was low-energy Jeb. But this no-energy Biden is tough to watch. It's sad," explained Jeff Clark. "It projects the opposite of American strength. It has to cause all of our allies and enemies alike to ask themselves, who's really running the West Wing."
Others pointed out the distinct contrast between President Biden and President Trump with Alex Bruesewitz writing, "If you want to prevent world war 3, vote for Trump!"
"There’s a good chance Biden is going to pass away while on camera," wrote another user.
During a speech Biden gave during his trip, he announced that his administration would be giving $100 million in aid to the Gaza Strip, a move that Republican lawmakers have criticized given that humanitarian aid funding often lands in the hands of Hamas.
"Biden just announced he’s going to be giving $100 million to the 'Gaza Strip' aka Hamas," wrote Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA). "The same amount of money Iran gives Hamas every single year. There is now no difference between Joe Biden and the Ayatollah of Iran."
As the conflict between Israel and Hamas continues to heat up and a ground offensive is likely in the coming days, Biden's inability to properly speak as a representative of the United States solidifies our enemies' perception of American weakness. The United States should be led by a leader who can properly and actively lead the country, not an 80-year-old man struggling to get through his meetings.
