WATCH: Biden Impeachment Hearing Goes Off The Rails After Former Hunter Business Partner Calls Out Democrats For Lying

On Wednesday, the House Oversight Committee held an impeachment hearing with witnesses Tony Bobulinski and Jason Galanis to investigate further the extent to which President Joe Biden was involved in his son Hunter Biden's foreign business dealings. Chairman James Comer (R-KY) had invited Hunter himself and his former business partner Devon Archer, though both men refused to appear. During Bobulinski's opening statement, he attacked Democrats on the committee for lying about him and the impeachment probe.

"The same people preaching this mantra know better. They continue to lie to the American people without hesitation and remorse. Rep. Dan Goldman and Jamie Raskin, both lawyers and Mr. Goldman, a former prosecutor with SDNY from New York, will continue to lie today in this hearing and then go straight to the media to tell more lies," Bobulinski said.

Following the witness' comment, Ranking Member Jamie Raskin (D-MD) attempted to interrupt Bobulinski to inquire whether he had violated the rules of decorum that members of the committee must follow. During the interruption, Bobulinski coyly said, "Am I supposed to say it's my time, Mr. Raskin?" Chairman Comer apologized for the disruption from the Democrats before Raskin interrupted him, saying, "Mr. Chairman, say his time, but he called this committee liars, and I just want to know whether the order and decorum requirements... apply to witnesses appearing before the committee?"

After discussing with staff, Comer said that the committee rules do not apply to witnesses and that Bobulinski can continue with his opening statement. "I just want to make sure the American people hear all these facts," the witness said before continuing his testimony. Bobulinski testified to the committee about a 2017 meeting between himself, Hunter Biden, and Joe Biden to discuss business in China with the the witness explaining, "If Joe Biden was not involved in son's business dealings ... why would he take 45 minutes out of his night to sit with me for 45 minutes to an hour to discuss my background, the business we're doing with the Chinese and his family's background?"
