In a surprise national address on Thursday evening, President Joe Biden explained to the American people that he had been exonerated by special counsel Robert Hur's report on the classified documents that were found in the president's Delaware home and office. Biden escaped charges, but the report itself was incredibly damning, with multiple sections citing Biden's poor memory. These findings from his own Department of Justice prompted reporters to ask about Biden's memory following his remarks, and one particularly embarrassing moment took place when Biden confused Egypt for Mexico.
"The conduct of the response in Gaza, in the Gaza Strip, has been over the top. I think that, as you know, initially the President of Mexico, Sisi, did not want to open up the gate to allow humanitarian material to get in," Biden said in reference to the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, not Mexico President Andrés Manuel López Obrador. "I talked to him. I convinced him. I talked to Bibi to open the gate on the Israeli side."
In response to the mistake from the 81-year-old president, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) joked that he would demand Mexico pay for a wall with Gaza. "Gonna build a wall with Gaza and make Mexico pay for it and boy are they gonna be confused," Paul remarked.
"To be fair to Biden, half of the Middle East is entering the United States through Mexico," wrote X account Johnny Maga. "Tonight, as Putin gave intelligent, scholarly answers that delved into a thousand years of Russian history, President Biden was babbling incoherently about how the president of Egypt is actually the president of Mexico," conservative commentator Matt Walsh said in reference to Tucker Carlson's interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"Joe Biden proved tonight what the Special Counsel said. His mental capacity is clearly diminished. He claimed that President Sisi (from Egypt) is president of Mexico!" Gov. Kristi Noem (R-SD) wrote. "Joe Biden and the Democrat party think the American people are stupid. The events of today make it clear the Republican Party needs to unite behind Donald Trump and take this country back."
President Biden once again showed his declining mental sharpness in front of the nation. The American people realize that he is too old to be serving in office and his own DoJ reported that he was practically unfit to serve as president of the United States. President Biden's age is catching up to him, and the American people will remember that fact when they go to the polls in November.
