WATCH: Biden Says Obama Sent Him To Detroit As Vice President During Covid-19 Pandemic

During a recent campaign event in Michigan, President Joe Biden once again showed his age after seeming to imply that he was vice president during the Coronavirus Pandemic and that former President Barack Obama sent him to Detroit to deal with the crisis. The remarks at the NAACP event came as Biden was attempting to convince voters that he could serve another four years in the White House at 81.

"When I was vice president, things were kind of bad during the pandemic," Biden said at the beginning of his remarks. "And, what happened was Barack said to me: 'Go to Detroit – help fix it.'" The COVID-19 pandemic occurred in the last year of the Trump administration, and President Biden oversaw the gradual decline of the pandemic in 2021 and 2022. There was no such pandemic during the Obama administration.

"Well, the poor mayor – he's spent more time with me than he ever thought he's going to have to," Biden said in reference to Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan (D), sitting to his right on stage. Duggan then rose from his seat to shake the president's hand.

The president's tendency to confuse facts and key events in his past is a worrying sign for any American paying attention to the 81-year-old Democrat. The president should be able to coherently articulate his vision for the country while on the campaign trail, not confuse the most basic facts of his life in the past decade. Biden's continued lack of mental sharpness has caused Americans to voice their concern in recent polls.

According to a recent poll from the Associated Press, a staggering 63 percent of respondents expressed their lack of confidence in President Biden's mental capabilities, stating they are 'not very or not at all confident.' When broken down by party, the results are equally alarming for the D, with Biden losing the confidence of 32 percent of Democrats, 80 percent of independents, and a whopping 91 percent of Republicans.

Biden spent the remainder of his speech going after his main political rival, particularly emphasizing extremist policies from "MAGA Republicans." "All that progress is at risk. Trump is trying to make the country forget just how dark things were… when he was president," Biden stated, per Fox News. "We will never forget him lying about how serious the pandemic was, telling Americans' just inject bleach' – I think that's what he did. I think that's why he's so screwy."

Yes, Crooked Joe erred in implying that he was still Vice President during the pandemic, but I'm inclined to believe him when he said Obama sent him to Detroit to commiserate with Duggan. I am far from alone in believing that Biden is merely the figurehead President in Obama's illegal third term that was won by egregious election fraud.
