BREAKING: Rank-And-File Border Patrol Agents Stand With Texas, Have 'No Plans' To Remove Razor Wire

On Wednesday, Gov. Greg Abbott (R-TX) took a stand against the Biden administration by arguing that the state of Texas has the right to defend itself from the ongoing invasion currently underway along the Rio Grande as tens of thousands of migrants enter the Lone Star State each month. The governor laid out his argument in an open letter to the Biden administration. His courageous act encouraged the Border Patrol to stand with the Texas National Guard and refuse to take down Texas' razor wire.

"Rank-and-file [Border Patrol] agents are not going to start arresting [Texas National Guard] members for following their LAWFUL orders. That's fake news," the Border Patrol union wrote on X/Twitter. "[Texas National Guard] and rank-and-file [Border Patrol] agents work together and respect each other's jobs. Period. If [Texas National Guard] members have LAWFUL orders, then they have to carry out those orders. [Texas National Guard] members realize that rank-and-file [Border Patrol] agents have their orders as well. Lawful orders, no matter how unpopular or distasteful amongst rank-and-file agents, must be followed. Unlawful orders (as determined by competent legal counsel and not what some outhouse lawyer behind a keyboard says) will not be followed."

"Rank-and-file [Border Patrol] agents appreciate and respect what [Texas] has been doing to defend their state in the midst of this catastrophe that the Biden Admin has unleashed on America," the group continued. "We want to be perfectly clear, there is no fight between rank-and-file [Border Patrol] agents and the [Texas National Guard], Gov. Abott, or [Texas Department of Public Safety]. It may make flashy headlines, but it simply isn't true."

In addition to the Border Patrol union's statement, a senior Border Patrol official told Fox News, "the relationship between Border Patrol, Texas DPS, & TMD remains strong... Bottom line: Border Patrol has no plans to remove infrastructure (c-wire) placed by Texas along the border. Our posture remains the same."

The ongoing fight between Gov. Abbott and the Biden administration hinges on Shelby Park in Eagle Pass, Texas, which was taken over and secured by the Texas National Guard earlier this month. "As it stands right now, Texas' razor wire is still here inside of Shelby Park," Fox News correspondent Matt Finn reported on Friday morning. "It remains untouched; however, the Biden administration has now warned Texas it has until tomorrow to allow Biden's border agents back into Shelby Park and the ability to remove Texas' razor wire as it sees fit. A federal attorney writes to Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton that the Supreme Court ruled in favor of the Biden administration, ending a temporary restraining order that prohibited Biden's border agents from touching Texas razor wire in and around Shelby Park."

Gov. Abbott has taken a principled and bold stand against the Biden administration to protect the sovereignty of the Lone Star State and secure the border. Border Patrol's willingness to stand with Texas proves just how unjust Biden's open border policies are for the country at large.
