WATCH: CNN Hosts Shocked by Biden’s Failing Poll Numbers As Trump More Popular Than Ever – It’s ‘Beyond Sobering’

On Thursday, CNN released a new poll showing the tough road ahead for President Joe Biden for potential reelection in 2024. CNN’s David Chalian was visibly shocked by the poll’s findings and suggested that the 80-year-old incumbent will have a tough time securing a second term.

“We begin with some brand new CNN polling and what our numbers tell us about a president still working on his reelection plan as he heads today to Camp David for the Easter weekend,” said host John King. “The numbers are beyond sobering for President Biden. They tell us many, or in some cases, most of you, have deep doubts about his performance and about the direction of the country right now.”

“It is April 2023 so a very long way to November 2024. So consider these numbers just an early campaign baseline,” he continued. “But, it’s an important poll but, they are still quite telling about your mood and the challenges facing the 80-year-old incumbent.”

“This is indeed a big baseline poll at just the starting line,” Chalian began. “President Biden hasn’t formally announced his reelection yet but we asked the American people if he deserves reelection if he deserves a second term.”

Chalian went on to reveal that CNN’s new poll found that less than a third of voters, 32 percent, want to see President Biden occupy the White House in 2025 with 67 percent saying they do not want Biden in for another four-year term.

NEW POLL SHOWS TRUMP BLOWING BIDEN OUT OF THE WATER WITH BIGGEST LEAD TO DATE AMID INDICTMENT

The release of these numbers comes after a similar poll in December had Biden’s support for a second term at 37 percent, meaning a five-point drop has occurred in recent months.

CNN also found that Biden’s current approval rating is only 42 percent with a disapproval rating of 57 percent.

The news comes as a recent Rasmussen poll showed 45th President Donald Trump with his biggest lead yet against Biden in a hypothetical 2024 matchup.

The poll, conducted just prior to Trump’s arraignment on Tuesday, has Trump beating Biden 47 percent to 40 percent, marking the largest lead Trump has had on the 80-year-old Democrat since he took office.

As Biden struggles to maintain the confidence of the American people, Trump will capitalize and turn his electoral momentum into results come 2024.
