WATCH: Democrat Demands Donald Trump Be 'Eliminated' To Save 'Our Democracy'

On Monday, Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY) joined Jen Psaki on MSNBC to discuss the recent trials of leading Republican presidential candidate and 45th President Donald Trump and the upcoming election. During the interview, Goldman told the former Biden White House press secretary that Trump needed to be "eliminated" because he is a threat to "our democracy."

"Politics don't work in a courtroom, as I think he is finding out in the New York attorney general's case in New York, a civil case, and that's going to continue in his criminal trials. But his rhetoric is really getting dangerous, more and more dangerous," Goldman claimed. "And we saw what happened on January 6th when he used inflammatory rhetoric, and now his recent Truth Social post is incredibly scary for anyone that might be trying to work in government. It is just unquestionable at this point that that man cannot see public office again."

"He is not only unfit. He is destructive to our democracy. He has to be eliminated," the New York Democrat concluded. Unfortunately for Goldman, Trump isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Not only have multiple courts shot down the attempts by Democrats to use the 14th Amendment to kick him off the ballot, but the multiple cases against him are seemingly falling flat or getting increasingly delayed. Making matters even worse for Goldman and the Democrats, Trump currently has a Real Clear Politics polling average advantage of 1.6 percent over Biden as Americans from all walks of life abandon the 81-year-old Democrat for Trump.

Many on X/Twitter blasted Goldman for his incendiary rhetoric, with Scott Adams arguing, "'Has to be eliminated' slipped out. We all know what it means. Context: Goldman accuses Trump of dangerous rhetoric while at the same time apparently calling for his assassination if all else fails. (That's how I hear it.) This is what years of media Hitlerizing and TDS gets you."

"If a Republican went on TV and said that a Democrat presidential candidate needed to be 'eliminated,' they'd be raided by the FBI within hours. "Instead, Dan Goldman alludes to the assassination of Donald Trump and does so with zero consequences and zero fear of any consequences.
