WATCH: Democrats Struggle To Get Through National Anthem In Embarrassing Performance On DNC Day Two - 'At A Loss For Words'

After the first day of the Democratic National Convention went haywire with anti-Israel protesters breaching the convention's perimeter, scheduling being so mistimed that multiple speakers had to be cut from the agenda to get President Joe Biden on the stage, and delegates being forced to stay in lengthy lines to get into the convention hall, the second day of the DNC opened with a not so promising performance. During a "women's caucus" meeting on Tuesday morning, delegates joined together to sing the National Anthem as Democrats attempt to reshape their party's image to be more pro-American. However, that plan backfired when it appeared that several participants misremembered the anthem's lyrics or forgot the order of the words.

The leaders of the women's caucus started the rendition in unison, but as the performance deteriorated, they eventually began singing the same lyrics repeatedly. 

"Democrats kickoff Day 2 of their convention and have no clue what the lyrics to the national anthem of the United States are," wrote former Trump official Steve Cortes about the performance. 

"Democrats attempting to open up day two of the DNC by singing the National Anthem is easily funnier than anything. Saturday Night Live has done in 13 years," Kevin Dalton posted. "This is both an indictment on Democrats and SNL."

"At the Women's Caucus at the DNC Convention, ⁦[The Democrats]⁩ forgot the lyrics to the National Anthem. I am at a loss for words," Laura Loomer said. "I guess this is expected from the party that hates America and wants our country to be taken over by COMMUNISTS!"

While Democrats struggled to get through the lyrics of the National Anthem, the organizers of the convention put forward a clear pro-America message that starkly contrasts the recent behavior of the Democratic Party. Throughout the first night of the convention, the DNC organizers handed out signs to the audience that read "USA" and showed multiple ads promoting "freedom," a Harris campaign theme centered around abortion, gun violence, and LGBTQ+ issues. As Democrats attempt to put forward a more patriotic vision of their party, reminiscent of the 1990s, their candidates, policies, and even their renditions of the Star Spangled Banner betray their messaging.
