On Tuesday, voters across the country took to the polls in Arizona, Florida, Illinois, Kansas, and Ohio to cast their ballots in the Republican primary. One of those voters was presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump who ventured to his local precinct in Palm Beach, Florida to cast his ballot alongside his wife Melania Trump. The duo could be seen waslking into the voting location with Trump in his traditional black suit and red tie and Melania wearing a white dress.
Following the casting of their ballots, the Trumps took a few questions outside of the polling place, with the 45th president telling reporters, "They have to close the borders. Our country is dying. Our country is being overridden. This is an invasion. Our country is being invaded by people. Nobody even knows who they are or where they come from. Millions of people. I predict 15 million people within a short period of time, probably have 15 million people already. That's bigger than most states," he said. "And these people come from the wrong places. They come from very bad places. There are no checks, and there are no balances. It is a disgrace. What's happening to our country is a disgrace. We have to close the border. Let people come in, but we have to come in legally."
Trump added that he is going to ensure that mass deportations are going to occur quickly after taking office to get criminal migrants off American streets. "We're going to get the criminals out of our country right away. Our country is being invaded, and many of these people are criminals. They're criminals. How can anyone do this? There's never been a president that has done such harm to a country as this president has done to our country. He's the worst president we've ever had, and I look forward to November 5."
Trump also slammed the massive $465 million fine levied against him by the state of New York following the ruling in the civil fraud case brought against him by New York Attorney General Letitia James (D-NY). "I built a great company. It is one of the greatest companies anywhere in the country, especially when it comes to real estate. I have some of the greatest assets in the world. It was a rigged trial. This was a rigged trial by a crooked judge and a crooked attorney general. And we're fighting it out with them. We have a lot of cash, and we have a great company, but they want to take it away or at least take the cash away. Billions of dollars in value, billions of dollars in property, but they'd like to take the cash away, so I can't use it on the campaign. This is just a corrupt group of people. It's election interference, and we will see how the court rules on it. I will be guided by the courts."
Trump was also jokingly asked who he voted for at the ballot box, to which he responded, "Yeah, I voted for Donald Trump." Melania Trump, who hasn't joined her husband on the campaign trail in recent months, also asked the press whether she would return to the campaign trail, to which she said, "Stay tuned."
