WATCH: Donald Trump Jr. SLAMS Biden Campaign After Press Conference Outside Trump's Trial - 'This Is A Political Persecution'

On Tuesday, the Biden-Harris campaign held a press conference outside the Manhattan courthouse where closing arguments are occurring in the business records fraud case brought by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg (D) against presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump. Following Trump lawyer Todd Blanche's closing argument, Donald Trump Jr. slammed the Biden campaign's political stunt.

"The fact that they are holding a rally across the street from this very witch hunt, right across the street, tells us exactly what we all knew all along, that it is a political persecution," Trump Jr. said. "It is a witch hunt. There is a reason why one of the people sitting at that desk is the number three person in Joe Biden's DOJ. I know my father is not allowed to say Matthew Colangelo in his name, right? Because he's been gagged. The president of the United States is not allowed to exercise his First Amendment right in New York City in this day and age."

"This is a sham, it's insane, and it needs to stop because if you think for one second that this ends with Donald Trump, you have not been watching what's going on in the Democrat Party," he continued. "They want power at any and all costs, your rights be damned."

As previously reported by the DC Enquier, the Biden campaign brought actor Robert DeNiro, a notable Trump critic, to host the press conference with Capitol police officers who served on January 6th.

"Running this country, and saying, 'I am not leaving, I am dictator for life.' I hope this new ad campaign reaches outside the bubble to remind supporters of what a danger he is to our lives," the actor said, in reference to his recent advertisement partnership with the Biden campaign. "This is not a threat; this is a reality. And that is why I joined Biden-Harris because the only way to preserve our freedoms and hold on to our humanity is to vote for Joe Biden for president."

"We don't have a choice," DeNiro continued. "On January 6th, while Republican lawmakers despicably tried to keep the loser Trump -- the loser Trump -- in the White House, and Trump-inspired insurrectionists stormed the capitol, brave men and women from law enforcement put their lives on the line to defend this country, our democracy. They are the true heroes... they stood and put their lives on the line, for these low lives, for Trump."

As the 12-person Manhattan jury hears closing arguments in the high-stakes trial, the 12 New Yorkers will have to decide whether to acquit Trump or find the ex-president guilty of the charges brought against him. Given the various legal weaknesses in the case, the latter would be an unprecedented move that would shake the American people's trust in the justice system.
