WATCH: Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson Says He Regrets Endorsing Biden In 2020, Will Not Endorse Him In 2024

On Friday, renowned movie star and WWE legend Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson joined Fox & Friends' to deliver a devastating blow to President Joe Biden. Johnson revealed that he will not be endorsing Biden in 2024 and that he regrets backing the 81-year-old Democrat in the 2020 election.

"Am I happy with the state of America right now? Well, that answer is no," he told Fox News host Will Cain. "Do I believe we are going to get better? I believe in that, I'm an optimistic guy, and I believe we can get better. The endorsement I made years ago with Biden was one I thought was the best decision for me at the time."

Johnson went on to explain that he used his influence to support Biden, but in 2024, he will not be backing the incumbent president, adding that he plans to keep "my politics to myself." "It's my job now to exercise my influence and share who I'm going to endorse. Am I going to do that again this year? That answer is no."

The WWE superstar also admitted that his decision to wade into political waters in 2020 caused "division" and was something he feels guilty about. "Will I do that this year? I will not do that. What I realize, what that caused back then, was something that tears me up in my guts back then and now, which is division," he said. "That got me. The takeaway after that, months and months, I realized, that caused division in our country. I realize now, going into this election, I will not do that; my goal is to bring this country together."

The Hollywood actor also told Fox's Will Cain about the power that his fame has brought him, which was demonstrated when the Biden campaign promoted his endorsement during the 2020 campaign. "It took time to recognize that. I was averse to fame, and I didn't understand the power of it, how it could swing both ways," he said. "As I got down the road a little bit and started achieving notoriety, I started to realize this is a superpower; fame is a superpower when used correctly, I believe, to influence people and in terms of being direct and honest."

In 2020, Johnson sat down via Zoom with Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, and he said, "I've never publicly endorsed a presidential candidate or vice presidential candidate in my life. You guys are both experienced in leading, and you've done great things. Joe, you've had such an incredible career, and you've led with such great compassion, heart, drive, and soul ... Kamala, you have been a district attorney, a state attorney, a U.S. Senator. You are smart and tough. I have seen you in those hearings,"

The Rock's decision not to endorse President Biden for reelection is a major shift that has been replicated in the movie and music industry in recent months as more celebrities either refuse to endorse or come out against the sitting president. Americans across the country, even celebrities, are waking up to the abysmal state of the country under Biden's leadership.
