On Thursday, Tesla CEO and X owner Elon Musk traveled to Folsom, Pennsylvania, to campaign for 45th President Donald Trump and encourage Republican voters to register to vote and cast their ballots for the Trump-Vance ticket. The event, organized by America PAC, is the beginning of a series of town hall meetings that Musk is holding throughout the Keystone State.
"I think the things we all want are simple, common sense things. We want secure borders. We want safe cities. Sensible spending, so we don't have crazy inflation. We want freedom of speech. We want the Constitution to be upheld," Musk told the crowd. "I've been told at times that these are, like, right-wing values. I'm like, 'Are you insane?' This is literally the fundamental values that made America what it is today. And anyone who's against those things is fundamentally anti-American. And the hell with them!"
After a successful town hall in Folsom, Musk will be heading to Philadelphia on Friday for an event at 7 PM EST and another town hall in Harrisburg on Saturday at 7 PM EST. The billionaire will hold his last event in Pittsburgh, but the details have yet to be released. Pennsylvania voters may attend the events if they sign a petition that reads, "The First and Second Amendments guarantee freedom of speech and the right to bear arms. By signing below, I am pledging my support for the First and Second Amendments." Voters can also share the petition with friends in the seven swing states to receive $47 from America PAC.
Musk's events in the commonwealth come after the eccentric billionaire endorsed President Trump earlier this year and briefly spoke to supporters at Trump's reunion rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, earlier this month. "As you can see, I am not just MAGA — I am Dark MAGA," Musk told the thousands of supporters that flocked to the site of the first assassination attempt on the Republican presidential candidate.
Musk has increasingly upped his political spending as the 2024 race heats up. Financial records show that he has contributed $75 million to America PAC to support the Trump campaign and Republican candidates in congressional and Senate races nationwide. The PAC has spent over $100 million supporting President Trump, with millions going towards direct mail advertising and canvassing efforts, as reported by The Washington Post.
