In what could be one of the strangest reactions to an impeachment inquiry in congressional history, Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) was asked by reporters about what he thought of Speaker Kevin McCarthy's (R-CA) announcement of the move to hold Biden accountable earlier in the day.
In response, Fetterman, who suffered a stroke during his 2022 campaign and was hospitalized for months with depression earlier this year, said, "Oh my god really? Oh my gosh, you know. Oh, it's devastating. Oooooo don't do it. Please don't do it. Oh no! Oh no!"
While Fetterman's embarrassing reaction took place, his staffer looked on in horror as he attempted to get the Democrat back to his office.
"John Fetterman’s reaction to the House's Impeachment Inquiry into Joe Biden might be the strangest thing you watch today," TPUSA's Charlie Kirk said about the incident.
"Democrat Senator John Fetterman responds to news of Joe Biden's Impeachment Inquiry by faking a seizure (???) and wiggling his fingers on camera while saying 'ooooohhhh! Ha Ha Ha' before a staffer physically drags him away from Reporters," conservative commentator Benny Johnson wrote. "What tf is wrong with the Senate?"
"Fetterman and his handler are like the 2023 version of Lennie and George from Of Mice and Men," X user johnny maga wrote. "But instead of being a mentally disabled ranch laborer, Lennie’s now a United States Senator."
