WATCH: Harris VP Pick SLAMMED For Saying There's 'No Guarantee To Free Speech'

Vice President Kamala Harris' vice presidential pick has seemed to have backfired in nearly every way. A clip resurfacing from late 2022 shows Walz arguing that there is no "guarantee" to freedom of speech when combating misinformation and disinformation.

"There's no guarantee to free speech on misinformation or hate speech and especially around our democracy," Walz claimed. The Minessota governor's comment's received immediate pushback with Sen Ted Cruz (R-TX) pointing out, "Um, yes there is. There's this little thing called the First Amendment. Which radical, censoring, nanny-state Dems HATE."

"Walz couldn't be more wrong in suggesting "there's no guarantee to free speech" when it comes to anything progressive Democrats might label 'misinformation' or 'hate speech,'" Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) wrote. "Don't trust this man with power."

"Tim Walz wants to punish speech for being "misinformation." So does he want to punish himself for lying about his military service or his DUI?" TPUSA President Charlie Kirk wrote referring to Walz's 1995 DUI charge and his refusal to deploy to Iraq with his Army National Guard unit in 2004.

Former Trump advisor Stephen Miller took it one step further, writing, "Dude's a straight up communist. An actual communist." Some Minnesotans who've lived under Walz's leadership in the Land of 10,000 Lakes agree with Miller. "He used to be what I'd call a middle of the road Democrat. Now he's a straight-up socialist," Minessota voter Roger Ellingson said about his governor in a recent interview.

Walz himself has suggested his affinity for socialism in the last two weeks. On a recent fundraising call for "White Dudes For Kamala Harris," Gov. Walz called on people to start volunteering and spreading progressive values to other voters. "Don't ever shy away from our progressive values," he said. "One person's socialism is another person's neighborliness."

Walz has been the target of Republican attacks following Kamala Harris' announcement on Tuesday that he would be selected as her running mate. During his governorship, Walz gave illegal immigrants access to driver's licenses and state healthcare programs, required tampons to be placed in boys' bathrooms in public schools, made Minessota a refuge for children to get sex-change surgeries, and advocated for the state to become a sanctuary for illegal immigrants.

Walz's anti-First Amendment comments are just one example of his progressive radicalism, and Harris' decision to pick him as her running mate could backfire come November 5.
