WATCH: Hillary Clinton Goes After Tucker Carlson Ahead Of Putin Interview - 'He's Like A Puppy Dog'

Ahead of Tucker Carlson's interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin, set to release at 6 PM EST on Thursday, former failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton took to MSNBC to share her thoughts about the courageous conservative commentator.

"He's like a puppy dog," Hillary said about the veteran journalist. "After being fired from so many outlets here in the United States, I would not be surprised if he emerges with a contract with a Russian outlet because he's a useless idiot. He says things that are untrue. He parrots Vladimir Putin's pack of lies about Ukraine."

"So I don't see why Putin wouldn't give him an interview because, through him, he can continue to lie about what his objectives are in Ukraine and what he expects to see happen," she continued. "It is really quite sad that not only somebody like Tucker Carlson, who has been fired so many times because he seems unable to correlate his reporting with the truth but also because it is a sign that there are people in this country right now who are like a fifth column for Vladimir Putin. Why? I don't know."

"Why are certain Republicans throwing their lot in? Why do other Americans basically believe Putin? Why did Trump believe Putin more than our 11 intelligence agencies," she said before being interrupted by the host asking if she had a theory, likely referencing the Russian collusion theory. "I have a working theory."

As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, Carlson explained the reasoning behind interviewing Putin in a video posted to X/Twitter on Tuesday. "Here's why we're doing it. First, because it's our job. We're in journalism. Our duty is to inform people. Two years into a war that's reshaping the entire world, most Americans are not informed. They have no real idea what's happening in this region, here in Russia or 600 miles away in Ukraine. But they should know they're paying for much of it in ways they might not fully yet perceive."

Carlson went on to explain that the war in Ukraine has led to the depopulation of the largest nation in Europe, as hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian men have died fighting. However, he added that the humanitarian cost is just the beginning of how the war has impacted the world. "This war has utterly reshaped the global military and trade alliances, and the sanctions that followed have as well. And in total, they have upended the world economy," Carlson said. "The populations of the English-speaking countries seem mostly unaware. They think that nothing has really changed. And they think that because no one has told them the truth. Their media outlets are corrupt. They lie to their readers and views, and they do that mostly by omission."

The interview with the Russian president will air on X/Twitter and the Tucker Carlson Network at 6 PM EST on Thursday.
